In these small mowers, the grass is channeled into the grass collector through an inner collector channel between the wheels or an external side channel.
The first is better since it is much shorter and the grass needs less thrust to enter the collector. The external channel is less effective, being longer and more inclined. Moreover, it is much larger, which makes the riding-on mower less suitable for finishing jobs.
