Pneumatic compressed air pruning shears or pneumatic shears are widely used for professional-level pruning of large olive groves and orchards, as well as vine pruning.
One of their strengths is their lightness, since they weigh 500 gr approximately, definitely lighter than other pruning shears, since they do not carry any battery.
The sturdy and flexible blades are extremely resistant to transverse bending; in fact, they are made of high-strength forged steel.
Although their cutting diameter is larger than other pneumatic shears, they still have an ergonomic handle that make them very easy to grip.
Pneumatic shears are by their nature noisier but at the same time much more efficient than battery-powered models. However, their disadvantage is that they always need an air compressor and a fitting hose to delivery air from the compressor to the shears.
