Alpina AT3 98 HA is a performing and functional machine, ideal to work on tall, unkempt vegetation in wide, unkempt spaces.

This riding-on mower is equipped with a 414 cc Stiga ST 400 engine, powerful and low-consumption, for balanced and excellent performance. Suitable for maximum surfaces of 5000 sqm.

The grass is cut with the large 98 cm cutting deck, which features two steel blades with electromagnetic engagement. The grass is then discharged laterally thanks to the supplied deflector on the cutting deck.

7 different cutting heights available, easy to adjust through a lever, from a minimum of 25 mm to a maximum of 80 mm.

As well as the side discharge, this riding-on mower features mulching cut (optional).

Hydrostatic transmission, which allows you to move forward or backward simply by pressing the two pedals on the footboard. Depending on the pressure exerted on the pedals, the forward and reverse speeds will increase respectively. On the other hand, the brake pedal will stop the machine.

1- SIDE DISCHARGE (standard supplied): the most traditional cutting system which allows cutting the grass and leaving it on the lawn. This system is recommended for mowing large-sized areas and for those who have to cut over-grown grass, for which the mulching or the grass collector system are no longer efficient.

2- MULCHING (optional): this system allows shredding the grass really finely, so that it looks as if it has been collected. This eliminates the problem of its disposal (reducing any effort and shortening the time-saving). Moreover, grass clippings will break down into nutrients and water for the lawn (grass is 80% water) and will thus ensure a perfectly balanced biological cycle. However, it is worth remembering that, to ensure the greatest mulching results, the lawn should be irrigated and the grass needs cutting at least once a week. The conversion from one system to another is easy.

With this modern hydrostatic transmission, driving the machine will be easy and within everyone's reach, you can easily control the the mower with your right foot on the footboard.

Operation: To move forward, simply press the dedicated pedal with the tip of your foot, while to activate the reverse, simply press the other end of the pedal with your heel. In both cases, the speed will increase according to the pressure exerted on the pedals.

The machine stops when you release the pedals.

- The hydrostatic transmission is by far the most modern and functional (although it is more expensive) compared to the traditional manual transmission with gears. Whenever the speed is changed, the manual transmission forces the operator to stop the unit, change gear, release the clutch and re-start the machine at the desired speed. This would be uncomfortable and impractical in gardens or terrain full of obstacles, where you have to change speed very often. The hydrostatic transmission, on the other hand, allows immediate speed changes, automatically and without ever stopping, simply by varying the pressure on the pedal.

The cutting deck of the riding-on mower is tilting: it adapts easily to the unevenness of the ground (as long as they are not excessive).
