Description

Greenbay FML 125 Tractor-mounted Flail Mower

The GINGER 125 C series tractor-mounted flail mower is developed to offer good performance in shredding light materials such as pruning, grass and shrubs.

Its optimized construction provides superior manoeuvrability and ease of transport, making it an ideal solution for owners of small farm or garden areas who need an effective and easy-to-manoeuvre machine.

This flail mower is part of the lightweight range, conceived and designed to be used primarily in hobbyist settings or for small farm work.

It is equipped with a transmission system that includes two belts, thus ensuring efficient transmission of power to the cutting mechanism. In addition, there is a rear roller that helps stabilize the machine during use, further improving the quality of work done.

The shape with which the Y blades are placed is helical. This causes the machine to emit less vibration and actual noise, also providing a smoother workflow.

The hood design consists of five sides, this gives the machine a rugged appearance and also ensures high resistance and durability over time

The hood structure is designed to effectively protect the internal components from impact and damage, thus ensuring a long service life for the mower.

Cutting tools and support roller

Y blades offer a significant advantage in agricultural and gardening mulching. This type of blade, due to its special shape, can make clean and precise cuts on a variety of plant materials, from light grass to sturdier pruning.

The optimized design reduces machine power consumption and minimizes wear and tear, thus extending equipment life. In addition, the Y blades are designed to create an improved airflow that facilitates the ejection of cut material, ensuring faster and cleaner work.

Lateral belt transmission and gear reduction unit

Reduction gearbox in oil-bath lubrication. The casing is made of cast, the internal gears of tempered steel. Equipped with lubricated extension cord.

This machine mounts a freewheeling device (or overrunning clutch) built into the gearbox; this ensures a long service life for all moving parts of the machine, avoiding the kickback there would be from going from motion (540rpm) to 0rpm and allowing the rotor to turn freely until it stops.

Lateral transmission with 2 belts

Innovative lateral transmission belt tensioning system featuring an easy adjustment mechanism through a dedicated screw, simply tighten the screw a few turns to tension the belts.

WARNING!

The gearbox of this machine can hold no more than 0.5L of oil.

Please read the instruction manual carefully before starting it.

The PTO is the standard one, type 1 3/8" z6 (suitable for all current and recently manufactured tractors): If you have a very old tractor, check that it is equipped with the same PTO and with standard clockwise (right) direction of rotation.

Other features

Rear roller, with holes for height adjustment. Height adjustable with 3 different positions (Bearing with grease bearing roller)

Side support skids as standard.

Three-point hitch detail, first and second categories, with bushings.

Standard PTO with protection (1 3/8" Z6).

Bearing-equipped rotor blade support with greaser

Recommendations for Use - Tractor-mounted Fixed Flail Mowers

To ensure correct operation, a longer service life and safe working conditions, it is essential to use the tractor-mounted flail mower in accordance with the instructions set out in the user manual and the machine’s technical specifications. Incorrect use may result in premature wear of components, reduced performance or damage not covered by the warranty.

Before starting work, always check that the tractor is compatible with the flail mower by verifying the required power, hitch type and intended operating conditions. Correct matching of the machine and the tractor ensures optimum performance and prevents the transmission from being overloaded.

  • Use the flail mower exclusively on suitable surfaces: the machine is designed for grass shredding, wild vegetation, plant residues and materials compatible with the machine’s category. Avoid contact with unintended objects such as stones, metal, plastic or other foreign bodies.
  • Adjust the working height correctly: maintaining an adequate distance from the ground reduces the impact on the cutting units and limits excessive stress on the machine’s structure.
  • Do not operate the machine where there are hidden obstacles or unsuitable ground conditions: ditches, stumps, exposed roots, loose stones or uneven ground can cause sudden impacts and damage to the cutting parts or transmission components.
  • Do not use the flail mower for operations other than shredding: the machine must not be used for earthmoving, ground levelling or other applications not specified by the manufacturer.
  • Always adjust the forward speed to suit the working conditions: excessive speed can reduce the quality of the shredding, increase vibrations and subject the machine to stresses greater than those for which it was designed.
  • Avoid using the machine on excessively damp material: wet grass or particularly damp vegetation can cause material to build up inside the machine, reducing its efficiency.
  • Do not force the tractor forward: if the rotor slows down, vibrations increase or cutting capacity decreases, speed must be reduced and the work adapted to the conditions of the ground and vegetation.
  • Check the condition of the cutting components regularly: worn, damaged or missing blades, hammers or other cutting elements can compromise the machine’s operation and increase vibrations during use.
  • Carry out periodic checks and routine maintenance: check that components are correctly tightened, inspect the condition of the transmission components and ensure the machine is generally clean to maintain its efficiency and safety.

Use of the power take-off (PTO):

The tractor’s power take-off (PTO ) must be used in accordance with the rotational speed specified by the flail mower manufacturer. An incorrect rotational speed may compromise the machine’s operation, causing overheating, accelerated wear or excessive stress on mechanical components.

When attaching and detaching the flail mower, the power take-off must always be disengaged and the tractor switched off. It is also necessary to check that the PTO shaft is correctly installed and has sufficient clearance to move freely while working.
