WELL ADJUSTED WORKING HEIGHT (7 - 8 cm high)

The height of ATV rear trailer hitch can vary, so make sure to position the ATV so that its working position is sufficiently raised to prevent the cutting hammers from touching the ground.

The exact working height of the hammers from the ground is 7-8 cm minimum.

WARNING: frequent impacts of the hammers on the ground can lead to excessive wear of the lateral transmission belts or even their overheating or combustion, resulting in damage to the belts and the product.
We recommend that you pay attention to these circumstances of excessive product strain, as the overload noise coming from the machine may sometimes not be perceived by the operator riding the ATV due to the noise coming from the latter.

OPERATING SPEED:

a frequent mistake regards the product speed, mainly because of the high speed provided by the ATV.
This ATV-mounted petrol rough cut mower must be used at the same speeds as tractor-mounted rough cut mowers or smaller, hand-push petrol mowers.

Speed: from 1 km/h up to max. 4 km/h

In case of particularly tall grass, it is recommended not to exceed the speed of 1/1.5 km/h

In case of low and frequently cut grass, a speed closer to 4 km/h is acceptable

WARNING: this rough cut mower is equipped with a side centrifugal clutch that keeps the rotor with hammers stationary (in neutral) when the engine is started at low rpm (state of rest), and a 2-belt transmission. Using this machine at higher speed than indicated above causes overloading and overheating of the clutch and also excessive wear of the lateral transmission belts, risking that the clutch, if burned, may even cause combustion of adjacent belts or other parts of the product.

It is intended to finely shred grass and clippings, while rolling the grass cover and turf simultaneously. Thanks to the high number of rotor rpms and hammers (hammer blades), the wave effect on the grass is reduced, for an excellent cutting job.

This rough cut mower features two different positions of the pneumatic wheels, according to your needs. In fact, the wheels can be mounted on the side of the cutting roller or on the back of the machine.

The right configuration depends on the situation, for example if you are working on more uneven ground it is recommended to keep the rear wheels close to the roller, so they can give more stability to the rollers, together with the trailer hitch. Furthermore, this configuration allows for tighter manoeuvres, also reducing the size of the machine if you have to work on grounds with obstacles.

Instead, when the wheels are placed laterally they are more suitable for jobs on a more even and flat ground, therefore leaving the rear roller to give stability to the machine

Adjustable rear support roller provided on standard. The rear roller, together with the two pneumatic wheels, considerably increases the stability of the machine even on the most uneven ground. In fact, being placed near the rotor and being as wide as the whole machine, it perceives any unevenness in the ground, and moving accordingly it lifts the machine to prevent the hammers from getting stuck on the ground.
