In fact. the protrusion from the tractor allows the it to approach trees with greater precision, making these machines more suitable in areas that requires trimming on the edges and maximum manoeuvrability.
Unlike tractor flail mowers with hydraulic shift, shredders with a manual shift system - in addition to being more cost effective - require the operator to manually set the desired distance between the tractor and the towed flail mower, getting off the farm vehicle each time and repeating the process of removing the latch to change the distance.
