Description

Stiga A 6v Robot Lawn Mower

The Stiga A 6v robot lawn mower is a battery-powered automatic lawn mower designed for the maintenance of surfaces up to 600 m². It is intended for residential gardens with complex layouts, obstacles and multiple zones. It is suitable for domestic use with minimal intervention, thanks to its fully autonomous mowing operations.

Operation is based on a combination of sensors, an AI front-facing camera and navigation algorithms that analyse the lawn in real time. The system identifies the virtual perimeter and plans orderly routes, maintaining uniform coverage of the surface.

The 2 Ah battery allows for mowing sessions covering up to approximately 145 m² per charge, with automatic return to the charging base.

Mowing is carried out using an 18 cm blade with mulching mode, which leaves finely chopped clippings on the lawn to help nourish the grass. Control is managed via the Stiga.GO app, which allows you to set zones, exclusions and operating parameters.

Key features of the Stiga A 6v robot lawn mower include:

  • Stiga VISTA smart navigation system: uses a front camera with real-time image analysis, distinguishes between grass, edges and external surfaces, improving movement precision.

At the end of the included period, you must activate an annual data package (valid for 365 days), which can be purchased directly via the app. Costs vary depending on the model and can be found on the Stiga website.

A constant connection is essential for the robot to operate correctly, ensuring remote control, updates and smart mowing management.

Stiga Vista Technology: Autonomous Mowing with AI Camera and Smart Navigation

The robot features Stiga Vista technology, an advanced camera-based system with artificial intelligence that allows the robot to recognise the lawn in real time and clearly distinguish between grass and non-grass areas, enabling the robot to move with precision even in the presence of obstacles, borders, adjacent surfaces or other garden features.

Thanks to this advanced technology, the AI camera can detect both stationary and moving obstacles, whether at close range or from a distance, automatically recalculating its route and continuing to mow without unnecessary interruptions. The technology also adapts to lighting conditions: when needed, the front LED activates automatically to aid visual recognition of the working area.

Thanks to smart navigation, the robot also handles edge cutting with precision, keeping the lawn neatly trimmed along the entire perimeter.

The robot’s autonomous system is not based only on computer vision. The robot is also equipped with multi-band GPS-RTK, a highly precise positioning solution that allows it to follow neat trajectories, manage the lawn via a virtual perimeter and operate without a perimeter wire or dedicated reference antenna.

One of the key features of Stiga’s autonomous system is the inclusion of AGS – Active Guidance System. This system uses artificial intelligence to learn and store satellite orbits and identify times or areas where reception may be less stable. This allows the robot to plan its work more effectively and avoid operating in areas where the signal might temporarily deteriorate, improving cutting continuity and navigation reliability.

In its daily work, the Stiga robot performs an organised, rather than random, mowing pattern, with routes designed to achieve a uniform and visually neat finish. It supports mowing patterns such as parallel strips, checkerboard and fine grid, helping to make the lawn more aesthetically pleasing.

The robot is equipped with obstacle sensors, dual lift sensors, an anti-tip sensor, an inclinometer, a six-axis IMU and motion control systems that help ensure precise navigation and stop mowing in the event of abnormal situations. It also features a rain sensor, App Lock for protection against unauthorised use and the option for dedicated notifications related to the robot’s safety.

Active Guidance System (AGS)

This model is equipped with an innovative system patented by Stiga, called the Active Guidance System (AGS). This system allows the robot to store important information such as satellite trajectories, signal strength and areas where the signal is disrupted, for every moment of the day. Consequently, the robot updates the map daily, avoiding areas with weak signal precisely when needed. This helps the robot work more efficiently and prevents potential blockages caused by a lack of signal.

It is capable of managing mowing sessions autonomously and creating a virtual map of the garden while it is working, knowing exactly where to start mowing.

It includes various direction-change programmes, eliminating the risk of over-mowing. It can be programmed to operate in multiple mowing areas, with the option to set up to 10 different zones. Thanks to the Stiga.GO app, the user can choose from a wide range of pattern combinations, thus ensuring the health of the turf and customising the appearance of the lawn.

There is no perimeter wire, so you can adjust the virtual boundary of your Stiga with a simple tap. You can also manage other robot functions, such as excluding specific areas from mowing cycles and setting times when the robot should not mow, even just in certain zones.

E-Power Batteries

The core of the A 6v robot is Stiga’s patented E-Power battery-powered system.

STIGA ePower integrated batteries are lithium-ion battery packs designed and developed specifically to power Stiga robot lawn mowers. Integrated directly into the machine, they are optimised to offer high autonomy, consistent performance and maximum reliability, enabling the robot to cover large surfaces with a single charge.

Made with high-quality cells and optimised chemistry, these batteries guarantee a long service life and maintain high performance even after numerous charging cycles, ensuring efficient and stable operation season after season.

Thanks to this proprietary technology, Stiga robots can operate quietly and efficiently, offering fully automated and reliable lawn management.

Installation

The product delivered to your home will be easy to set up, and even the least experienced user will be able to start using the Stiga robot by following the instruction manual included.

Setup is entirely virtual. The working perimeter can be set via the Stiga.GO app and can be updated at any time.

Once the charging base (equipped with a charger) is installed, the robot will be ready to go as it does not require a perimeter wire.

The charging base can be positioned anywhere, even near vertical structures and in areas with limited visibility (provided the maximum gradient the robot can handle is respected), thanks to the long reverse manoeuvre option. This option allows the robot to perform a longer exit manoeuvre, ensuring it has enough space to turn and a better reception of the satellite signal.

Once the charging base has been installed and configured, and after completing the robot’s initialisation procedure, you will be able to:

  • Map the perimeter of the lawn
  • Set virtual boundaries
  • Schedule transfer routes
  • Schedule the return route to the base
  • Define no-go zones
