Rato R3000 - 3 kW Petrol Power Generator - DC 2.8 kW Single-phase

The Rato R3000 internal combustion genset is a single-phase power generator with a maximum output of 3.0 kW. It is equipped with a 212 cc Rato R210 petrol engine that delivers 6.5 Hp. The fuel tank has an impressive capacity of 14.5 litres.

A Distinctive feature of this generator is its ease of transport. It is equipped with wheels and a folding handle that allow it to be moved easily. They are supplied and can be easily installed by the user. If preferred, the generator can also be used in a portable version without the wheels and handle.

The genset is equipped with an AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) card, which automatically regulates the output voltage, keeping it constant even in the presence of load variations. This ensures a stable energy flow for connected devices.

To ensure the safety of the generator and prolong its life, there are various protection functions. It is equipped with an automatic shutdown system that takes action in the event of overload or low oil level. These features protect the engine and prevent potential damage.

There are sockets on the generator control panel for connecting electrical devices. In addition, there is a voltmeter that allows the level of current produced to be monitored in real time, providing additional control over the energy delivered.

Its ease of transport, coupled with its protection and control features, make it a convenient option for providing power in situations where a portable and reliable power source is needed.

The generator is not designed for energy production, charging or maintaining batteries for the photovoltaic or solar panels systems (or similar); this can seriously damage the generator.

WARNING: All power generators like this one, belonging to one of the lower product levels of the PROFESSIONAL (reference to the product level rating scale used on this site) must not work for sessions longer than 3-4 hours continuously, in order to not to compromise in the medium to long term durability of the alternator and other components due to overheating or wear. The same problem would present itself if these products were to be used daily or at least frequently. In all these cases we recommend to opt for generators classified as least as PROFESSIONAL, as listed on the rating scale on this website.

The best criterion is to pinpoint first which are the instruments we need to power with the generator and, consequently perform a simple calculation, as explained below, to identify the needed power that the generator need to eject.

Power required = Electric appliance consumption X Breakaway starting coefficient

The starting coefficient is a fundamental characteristic of any instrument which works with electric current because it indicates how much the consumption of the object increases. Therefore, this is needed to concretely determine how many WATT are necessary during the start up operations.

Example: Compressor (1500 Watt) X Starting coefficient (2) = 3000 Watt, hence you should orientate towards a generator which has a WATT power equal or superior to the result (*)

Check the consumption of the appliance on the instructions and maintenance manual or on the plate attached to the machine.

WARNING: the chart is purely indicative. Thanks to the formula above you can easily calculate the power a generator should deliver to connect and start some specific products and select the model of generator which best suits your needs.

• The generator must only be used to power individual pieces of electrical equipment (within the limits of its power output in KW, in relation to the in-rush absorption of this equipment, which must be less than the power output of the generator);

• The generator can be used to supply power to domestic systems in the event of emergency (lack of power supply service from one's own electricity supplier in the household), only in versions specifically equipped with the ATS automatic start-up device (specially made for this purpose and equipped with the systems for connection to the domestic meter)

• The generator was NOT designed for PROFESSIONAL use, and is therefore only suitable for occasional (non-frequent) use. Operating sessions must not exceed 3-4 continuous hours (which would lead to overheating or wear of the alternator, particularly its stator and rotor components). If a generator is needed for frequent use (e.g. one use per week), the user will have to look for another type of generator, specifically designed for frequent use, and more precisely a PROFESSIONAL or even better an INDUSTRIAL level generator (equipped not with a standard 3000 RPM alternator like this one, but with a professional alternator at low rpm: 1500 rpm. - equipped with both liquid-cooled engine and alternator - having a very different level of specifications and price);

The generator is not designed to be installed in photovoltaic or solar panel systems for energy production, nor for recharging or maintenance of batteries of these specific or other electric systems. This use can seriously damage the generator on its internal components (alternator, engine and electrical component). All photovoltaic systems requires a generator for INDUSTRIAL use (and not for domestic use like the present model), specifically designed and manufactured for this purpose. WE DO NOT PROVIDE WARRANTY on generators connected to photovoltaic systems, as this entails an IMPROPER USE OF THE UNIT.
