The choice of the materials makes this snow blower a sturdy, solid and at the same time manageable and efficient tool.

It si equipped with electric start. The engine can be directly connected to the power line. It isn't provided with battery since the very low temperatures in which it uses to work would ruin them in a very short time. In fact, batteries won't stand the fast temperture changes.

The MTD SnowThorx 80 OHV engine is specifically designed to takle very cold temperatures. The engine is equipped with electric starter that can be connected directly to the power line.

Air is regulated by means of specific lever. (necessary for the ignition)

Also during ignition, the use of the primer pump (red pump) could be necessary. Just push it maximum twice before starting.

The engine is winterized, which means that it is equipped with a special cover in order to protect the most breakable component parts subject to cold weather and to protect the engine in case of sudden drop in temperatures. Therefore, the engine is adapted for work in low temperatures.

It would be more appropriate "commercial" power, meaning the standard power definition that has been used up to few years ago by the most renowned engine producers.

Auger screw housing width of 61 cm and height of 53 cm.

The professional auger unit provided has an advanced and toothed steel auger unit. This structure is best suited to churn up even the thickest snow.

The shear bolts protect the auger gearbox.

Therefore, they react to stones or other obstacles by automatically unhooked from the gearbox.

Two-stage system

The snow is fed into the housing by the ribbon auger and is then discharged away through the discharge chute by a high-speed fan impeller.

Adjustable skid shoes
They allow working on any surface, from smooth to rough surfaces (adjust the working height by means of the skid shoes). It can also work over gravel surfaces. The advantage of the plastic skid shoes is that they do not scratch the ground surface.

The discharge chute is adjustable by means of controls located on the ground base. Also the deflector can be adjusted.

The discharge chute is equipped with safety grid.

Panel is well-provided and easy to use.

Chute control lever. It can be locked and can be reversed completely and easily on the right or on the left. It is an advantaged system compared with the old control lever that was less precise and that used to move over.

Adjust the ground speed by means of the automatic speed control lever on the right side. It has 6 forward and 1 reverse speed.

Adjust the speed ground of the forward and the reverse movement of the machine by means of the dedicated lever on the panel.

Power-assisted steering system: it allows disconnecting the traction drive from the 2 wheels. You can disconnect the differential lock and choose which wheel should drive by means of the two small levers located under handles.

Big black lever on the left side: it stops the forward and the reverse movement of the machine, independently from the selected speed. For safety reasons, the machine will stop automatically releasing the lever.

Big black lever on the right side: it controls the auger screw and the impeller fan (it controls both simultaneously).
