MTD ME 61 - Petrol Snowplough - SnowThorX 70

All the MTD snow blowers, made in Hungary, has been designed and produced to work in severe winter conditions.

The MTD ME 61 snow blower is made in Hungary; it is suitable for intense uses on small and medium-sized areas where the gripping on terrain proves out to be fundamental for a good working result.

It is equipped with the exclusive "Extreme Auger" system apt at guaranteeing high performances and reliability.

The traktor wheel drive allows simple movements conveying an excellent gripping ot the terrain.

The wheel drive is made on enlarged wheels and allows simple movementes with 6 forward speeds and 2 reverse speeds. Also, snow chains can be mounted if necessary to move on frozen roads.

The discharge chute can be rotated by means of a crank located near the main controls.

It is equipped with LED light placed in front of the control panel for a further visibility.

The MTD SnowThorx 70 OHV engine is specifically designed to takle very cold temperatures. The engine is equipped with electric starter that can be connected directly to the power line. Winterized engines like this one aren't provided with air filter as, working in environments with low temperatures and snow, this last can create humidity that could freeze damaging the air filter and causing problems to the machine.

With heavy-duty OHV and metal tank.

Air is regulated by means of specific lever. (necessary for the ignition)

Also during ignition, the use of the primer pump (red pump) could be necessary. Just push it maximum twice before starting.

Vent screw for a correct stowing during summer, large starting handle, automatic internal decompressor that guarantees very easy and smooth startings without recoils.

The correct term would be "Commercial” Power, meaning the standard definition used until a few years ago by all well-known engine manufacturers.

Auger screw housing width of 61 cm and height of 53 cm.

The professional auger unit provided has an advanced and toothed steel auger unit. This structure is best suited to churn up even the thickest snow.

The shear bolts protect the auger gearbox.

Therefore, they react to stones or other obstacles by automatically unhooked from the gearbox.

The machine is provided with a two-stage system

The snow is fed into the housing by the ribbon auger and is then discharged away through the discharge chute by a high-speed fan impeller.

The discharge chute is adjustable by means of a lever located on the ground base. Also the deflector can be adjusted.

The discharge chute is equipped with safety grid.

Panel is well-provided and easy to use. It includes the main functions of the machine.

Drive speed control lever:
6 forward speed
2 reverse speed

Upper lever on the right side: it stops the forward and the reverse movement of the machine, independently from the selected speed. For safety reasons, the machine will stop automatically releasing the lever.

Upper lever on the left side: it controls the auger screw and the impeller fan (it controls both simultaneously).

Crank for discharge chute rotation.

Clean-out tool.

If the discharge chute is clogged, use the clean-out tool.

Tractor wheels for good traction, using motor’s horsepower.

The handlebars are foldable so as to take up little space during stowing.
