The hydrostatic gearbox is a modern and functional type of gearbox, which is increasingly popular in the way of garden tractors.

Its operation is very simple: all you have to do to move forward is push the pedal with your toe. The riding-on mower will move forward according to the pressure on the pedal. Simply push the other end of the pedal with your heel for moving in reverse.

Release your foot from the pedal and the tractor will stop.

This gearbox is increasingly used and sought after by users due to its practicality compared to the manual gearbox. The latter in fact obliges the operator to stop every time he wants to change speed, to engage the gear, release the clutch and start again.

The hydrostatic gearbox allows for immediate speed changes without stopping, making it perfect for wide terrain where you have to work around obstacles or trees.

The engine mounted on the tractor is a Stiga ST 450, ideal for high performance and versatile.

1- GRASS COLLECTION WITH 240L BASKET (on standard equipment)

The grass is harvested inside the collection basket, one of the most common methods. The bag emptying system is very simple: This is done by grasping the handle. Thus, it will be possible to empty the grass collector at any time while working, without any effort.

Equipped with an acoustic signal that alerts the operator when the bag is full.

2- MULCHING (optional, available from the accessories section):

The grass is finely chopped inside the cutting deck and then released directly onto the lawn. With this method, the grass will be so fine that it will look as if it has been harvested, giving a very satisfying aesthetic appearance. Furthermore, with this method the grass will decompose and become a nutrient for the lawn itself.

It is useful to remember that, in order to ensure the absolute efficiency of the system, the lawn must still be watered, and the grass cut very often.

Conversion: remove the grass collector and enter the mulching plug in the central tunnel.

The cutting deck of the lawn tractor has two steel blades with a width of 98 cm.

The plate is tilting, i.e. it adapts to imperfections in the ground, as long as they are not excessive, for a flawless cut whatever the occasion.

The engagement of the blades is electromagnetic, and is activated via the button on the control block. This system enables faster and more immediate engagement of the blades.

Seven different cutting positions are available, ranging from 25 to 80 mm. The adjustment is made by means of a side lever, located near the tractor seat.

The cutting plate also has a washing connection: a small hole where the water hose can be attached, for quick cleaning of the blades and cutting plate. In addition, two small anti-skid wheels are applied for better grip on the ground.

The ride-on lawn mower is designed and intended exclusively for cutting grass in gardens and parks (and not on other types of terrain). The working surface must be level, free of irregularities, stones, or other solid objects, and covered with maintained lawn grass (not uncultivated or spontaneous vegetation). Grass should be cut regularly and must not be allowed to grow beyond 25–30 cm, as most ride-on mowers are no longer capable of cutting at this height. Slopes exceeding 15% (equivalent to 9°) must be avoided, except when using 4x4 models.

For heavier-duty tasks, involving spontaneous vegetation, grass taller than the above-mentioned limits, or rougher surfaces than a garden, please consider alternative product categories such as Petrol Flail Mowers or Ride-On Flail Lawn, which are suitable for tall and uncultivated grass.

Grass must only be cut when both the lawn and the underlying soil are completely dry. Mowing operations should be carried out exclusively in dry weather, well away from periods of rain or irrigation, and preferably in the afternoon, when the grass is no longer affected by morning humidity. Wet grass tends to bend under the blades, reducing cutting efficiency, increasing the risk of clogging inside the deck, and subjecting both the engine and the transmission belt to excessive strain, which may result in damage.
