GeoTech Pro GTFM 120 LE - ATV-mounted Trailed Rough Cut Mower - Loncin G420FD

The GeoTech Pro GTFM 120 LE ATV-mounted rough cut mower  is designed for the maintenance of agricultural land, uncultivated areas and rural spaces. It is suitable for shredding tall grass, light prunings and small shrubs in contexts where an agricultural tractor is not available.

It is an alternative solution for clearing operations on medium-large surfaces using quads or lawn tractors equipped with a tow hitch. The machine is designed for advanced hobby and semi-professional use.

Operation is powered by an independent petrol engine that drives the cutting system without connection to a PTO. The structure is sized for continuous work with steady forward movement.

The GeoTech Pro GTFM 120 LE ATV-mounted rough cut mower features a green body with a shaped steel casing. The structural layout is functional, with a low centre of gravity and components designed for towing on agricultural and rough terrain.

The main technical and structural features are:

• Loncin 420 cc engine with electric start: single-cylinder petrol engine providing the power required for the shredding system, electric start simplifies starting operations;

• 120 cm working width: operating section suitable for working on large surfaces, ensuring good coverage relative to the towing vehicle’s path;

• Belt transmission: system that absorbs shocks and overloads, protecting the engine and simplifying maintenance;

• Hammer flail configuration: cutting system suitable for shredding spontaneous vegetation, grass and light pruning residues;

• Adjustable rear support roller: stabilizes the machine and allows adjustment of the cutting height;

• 16x6.50-8 pneumatic wheels: facilitate towing and movement on uneven terrain;

• Angled tow hitch attachment: designed for connection to ATV and lawn tractors equipped with a tow hitch.

RIGHT REGULATION OF THE WORKING HEIGHT (7 - 8 cm high)

There are several heights of the rear towing hook of quad. Therefore, the quad must be kept at a sufficiently raised position from the ground to prevent the hammers from touching the ground.

The exact working height of the hammers is minimum 7-8 cm.

WARNING: frequent impact of the hammers on the ground can cause the excessive wear of the side transmission belts or even their overheating or combustion with damages to the belts and the product itself.

We recommend paying close attention to these situations of “excessive strain on the machine”, as the overload noise produced by the machine may sometimes not be perceived by the operator riding the quad due to the engine noise generated by the vehicle.

FORWARD SPEED:

A common mistake made by operators is using excessive speed during operation, as the quad can easily encourage this due to its ability to travel at high speeds.

The ATV-mounted rough cut mower  has to be used at the same speed as the flail mowers for tractors or the smaller petrol ones activated manually by the operator.

Speed: from 1 km/h up to max 4 km/h

In case of especially tall grass we highly recommend not to exceed 1 / 1.5 km/h.

In case of low and frequently cut grass, you can also reach 4 km/h.

WARNING: This flail mower is equipped with a centrifugal clutch on the side, which keeps the hammer rotor stationary (in neutral) when the engine is started at low RPM (idle condition), and with a power transmission system to the rotor via two belts. During operation, towing the mower at a speed higher than the one indicated above may cause overload and overheating of the clutch, as well as excessive wear of the side transmission belts. In the worst cases, if the clutch burns out, it may even cause the adjacent belts or other parts of the machine to catch fire.

28 standard-supplied hammer flails

The flails are mounted on sturdy 11 mm diameter hardended steel bolts.

Close-up of the hammer flails mounted on the rotating rotor. Thanks to these components, the machine ensures effective cutting on gardens, lawns and urban areas.

It finely shreds grass and light prunings, while simultaneously rolling the turf. Thanks to the high rotor speed and the large number of hammer flails, it reduces the wave effect on the grass surface and provides excellent shredding performance.
