The GeoTech-Pro GFM 600 L rough cut mower is a smaller and more compact model compared to competitor products.

Thanks to its innovative design it is easier to operate and to be used on sloping grounds.

Equipped with a powerful 8,5 HP Loncin 252cc engine, which gives the machine the right amount of power to work optimally.

The mower is self-propelled. Also, both the handle and the working height are adjustable, to satisfy even the most demanding users.

Besides grass, it can also cut brushwood and brambles (up to 2.5 cm) in any condition, even in fairly inaccessible places (even on slopes, as long as they are not too steep).

Most of the time, this product is used to cut weeds in orchards, vineyards, olive groves (especially for grassing process), or by nurserymen, green operators and public authorities, who use it to clean uncultivated areas.

To make a comparison, we can affirm that this machine offers, without effort, an hourly yield equal to an average of 10 times a normal brush cutter, leaving a much cleaner and smoother result, as well as more finely chopped grass.

Focus on the sturdy front stone guards, mounted on a 62 cm swinging bar. Single stone guard width: 9.3cm.

The mower deck is also equipped with an additional protection grid for the user mounted on the top of it. This grid ensures maximum safety of use.

Left lever: activates and deactivates the operation, whatever the speed selected on the automatic transmission (forward or reverse). By releasing this lever, the machine stops instantly, for safety reasons.

Right lever: activates and deactivates the blade rotor (i.e. the grinding function) and is connected to the safety disc brake which quickly blocks the rotor when released.

To ensure correct use of the self-propelled flail mower and to maintain its efficiency over time, it is important to use the machine exclusively for the purposes specified by the manufacturer and in accordance with the instructions set out in the user manual. Before starting work, inspect the area thoroughly, removing stones, tree stumps, metal objects, plastic and other foreign objects.

The flail mower is primarily intended for surface shredding of grass, wild vegetation, scrub and plant debris compatible with the features of the specific model. It must not be used to level the ground, push materials or work on objects that could damage the cutting tools and mechanical components of the machine.

While working, ensure the cutting height is set correctly to prevent the cutting tools from coming into direct contact with the ground. Holes, ruts, depressions, protruding stones and other irregularities can cause impacts and abnormal stress on the rotor, the transmission and the cutting elements.

On slopes, always adhere to the limits specified by the manufacturer and proceed with particular caution, maintaining a controlled speed and avoiding sudden manoeuvres or abrupt changes of direction. On uneven, loose or slippery surfaces, it is advisable to reduce the forward speed further.

The speed must also be adjusted to the quantity and consistency of the vegetation. With tall or particularly dense grass, it is preferable to proceed more slowly so as not to overload the cutting unit. A noticeable drop in rotor speed, abnormal vibrations or difficulty in moving forward indicate the need to reduce the workload or increase the cutting height.

It is best to avoid using the machine on very wet vegetation or particularly muddy ground, as moisture can cause material to build up in the cutting mechanism and reduce the discharge capacity. During prolonged use, it is therefore advisable to periodically check for grass, fibres or debris around the rotor and the transmission components.

For models with internal combustion engines, it is important to use suitable, properly stored fuel, avoiding fuel that has deteriorated or become contaminated, and using only containers suitable for fuel storage.

Before carrying out any cleaning, inspection or removal of accumulated material, the machine must be completely switched off and secured. Regular checks of the cutting tools, protective guards and transmission enable any faults to be identified promptly. In the event of persistent vibrations, unusual noises or particularly severe impacts, work should be stopped and the condition of the components checked before resuming use.
