Geotech MCT 550 EVO Petrol Two Wheel Tractor - Tiller Unit with Reversible Rotation

The Geotech MCT 550 two-wheel tractor differs from all other models thanks to the possibility of reversing the direction of rotation of the tiller according to the type of soil.

This particular function allows the Operator to choose whether to rotate the cutters forwards (following the rotation of the wheels) or in the opposite direction.

The ability to rotate the cutters in the opposite direction to the wheels will allow work on harder, tougher soils while also greatly increasing the stability of the machine and working depth. Forward rotation is recommended for softer terrain.

The cutters do not really have a direction and have cutting edges on both sides.

This model is equipped with a Ducar DH212 engine 212 cc (7.0 HP).

The 60 cm tiller attachment (included) is equipped with 4 elements, the two external ones with 4 hoes (2 each) and the two internal ones with 8 hoes (4 each). 12 total hoes

Also included is a practical pivoting wheel that can be mounted at the base of the spur to facilitate the machine motion and transport.

Two wheel tractors are intended for working on soft, non-stony ground. Two wheel tractors do not go very deep while working. Anyway, they have the ability to break up the soil very finely, more than the results achieved by any garden tiller. Therefore, two-wheel tractors are mostly intended for working in vegetable gardens for all kinds of crops planted there. So, in any case, soft soils, already tilled, and frequently tilled.

On the other hand, in case of particularly hard (or even never worked) or fairly stony ground, or with sloping terrain, we recommend to move towards a garden tiller, which is better suited to working in these soil conditions.

The machine features a reverse clutch system that protects the user from possible accidents.

This two-wheel tractor is characterised by the possibility of using the tiller in the opposite direction to that of the wheels.

This function is particularly useful when working on particularly hard ground. It will considerably increase the adherence of the tiller to the ground, thus improving the stability of the machine and also increasing the working depth, as the tiller has a cutting edge on both sides.

The reversible rotation function can only be used by engaging the first gear, which is normally used for milling operations. The system is designed in such a way that if the operator decides to change gear, he will be forced to use the cutters in the standard direction of rotation, thus ensuring maximum safety for the user.

For working on softer soils, however, it is highly recommended to use forward rotation like all other two-wheel tractors.

The machine is equipped with a 3-speed gearbox divided into:
- 2 forward gears
- 1 reverse gear

Single central lever in lower position: it operates the forward motion (first or second gear, depending on the gear selected on the gearbox) and the tiller simultaneously.

The R, F1, F2 gears are only needed for moving.
