To ensure the spray pump remains efficient and reliable over time, it is essential to clean the circuit thoroughly after each treatment and to carry out regular maintenance on the main components.
Residues from the products used can build up inside the pump, particularly on valves, their seats, diaphragms, seals and tubes, leading to the formation of deposits, blockages and limescale.
For this reason, after each use, it is recommended that the circuit be thoroughly flushed with clean water, allowing the water to circulate through the pump to remove as much residue from the solution used as possible.
It is also important to always follow the dilution ratios specified by the manufacturer of the product used, avoiding excessive concentrations or the introduction of substances into the circuit that have not been properly dissolved.
A properly prepared solution reduces the build-up of deposits and helps to preserve the pump’s internal components.
When using mineral-based products or substances prone to settling, it is advisable to have an agitator or mixing system inside the tank.
Continuous agitation keeps the product in suspension and reduces settling at the bottom.
EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE
At the end of the season, it is advisable to carry out a more thorough inspection of the pump, removing the valves from their seats to eliminate any residues or limescale.
It is also advisable to remove the membrane heads, check the condition of the membranes and remove any deposits present inside.
It is important to check and replace the oil in accordance with the instructions, timings and specifications set out in the manufacturer’s user and maintenance manual.
Proper cleaning and regular maintenance help to maintain the pump’s performance and extend its service life.
