The Einhell GC-SA 1231/1 electric lawn scarifier is designed for hobby use. However, it is equipped with sturdy steel blades and rakes and powered by a 1200W motor.

It is provided with a roller with 8 double steel blades which can penetrate the soil and aerate it and 31 cm working width.

A great feature of this lawn scarifier is the possibility to mount a rotor with springs, easy and quick to assemble. Simply remove two screws to change the accessory.

Even the rotor with springs is mounted on ball bearings, making it sturdy and long lasting.

This lawn scarifier is also equipped with 3 different operating modes: scarifying, raking and collecting mode.

The comfortable Einhell GC-SA 1231/1 is provided with 3 different heights easily adjustable on the wheels.

WARNING:

Before the aeration process the garden MUST BE STRICTLY abundantly watered, in order to prevent dust from entering inside the electric motor and cause damage. Furthermore, damp soil is much softer and facilitates this type of work, preventing problems with the transmission (belts, pulleys, etc.)

* The right time for this operation is Spring, after the first mowing and depending on the area and climate (generally around March/April). For a perfect lawn care, it is highly recommended to repeat the operation in Autumn as well, thus removing the harder moss.

Rotor

This lawn scarifier is equipped with 2 different types of rotors, easily interchangeable.

Rotor with springs: recommended for the “aeration process”, it consists of a sturdy roller fitted with 24 springs.

With this rotor, the turf is combed lightly thanks to its steel spring design, which pinches and pulls away the felt and moss (also preventing regrowth).

Rotor with blades: recommended for the “scarifying process”. It consists of a steel roller with 8 stainless steel double fixed blades (16 blades total).

This rotor type allows a more intensive lawn care thanks to the possibility to work the soil in depth. Indeed, the sharpened 18 blades penetrate vertically the lawn allowing the complete removal of moss, felt and weeds.
This feature allows the lawn to regenerate by improving oxygenation, drainage and nutrient uptake. * The right time for this operation is Spring, after the first mowing and depending on the area and climate (generally around March/April). Quick rotor replacement system:

Remove 2 screws of the rotor unit
Remove the rotor
Replace the rotor by positioning the bearing in the proper housing
Screw the bolt of the rotor unit
