Recommendations for Use - Battery-powered Pruners

To maintain the pruner’s high performance and ensure a longer service life for its components, it is important to use the machine correctly and follow a few simple maintenance guidelines. Correct use ensures efficient cutting and allows you to work more safely.

Use the pruner exclusively for cutting wood: avoid contact between the chain and foreign materials such as metal, plastic, stones or concrete, which can damage the cutting unit and compromise the machine’s operation.
Check the condition of the chain before use: ensure the assembly is correct, check the direction of the teeth and the chain tension. Proper adjustment ensures more precise cuts and reduces wear on the guide bar and chain.
Keep the chain in good condition: proper sharpening allows you to work more efficiently, minimising vibrations and strain on the motor. Lubrication must also always be adequate to prevent overheating and premature wear.
Avoid cutting wood containing foreign materials: the presence of soil, sand, nails or other objects can quickly compromise the efficiency of the cutting teeth and damage the machine.
Use only compatible accessories: for battery-powered models, use the batteries and battery chargers specified by the manufacturer, avoiding unsuitable components that could cause malfunctions.
Do not use the machine for purposes other than those intended: adhere to the model’s operating limits and avoid tasks that are too demanding or prolonged in relation to its specifications.
Clean the machine after each use: remove sawdust and dirt from the guide bar, the chain and the machine body to maintain the efficiency of the components.
Check the main components regularly: inspect the chain, guide bar, fastening systems and protective guards for wear and tear before each working session.
Store the pruner correctly: keep the machine in a dry, sheltered place, carrying out the recommended maintenance before long periods of inactivity.
