BlackStone B-ST 87 BSTE - Petrol Snowplough - Tracked - B&S 2100

The BlackStone B-ST 87 BSTE snow blower mounts a 420cc 4-stroke air-cooled Briggs & Stratton 2100 SERIES engine with a nominal power of 13 Hp, and can work on large areas, even in extreme conditions. The electric starting of the snow blower is possible via the domestic current, allowing the machine to be switched on even at very low temperatures.

The roller tracks with which it is equipped and the different working positions make this snow blower very stable and efficient.

It is a heavy-duty product equipped with a large 85 x 54 cm front auger with optimized profile steel spiral and serrated edge. The auger shreds the snow and expels it many meters away through the discharge chute that is tilting and adjustable.

This snow blower has a powerful 420 cc Briggs&Stratton 2100 SERIES 4-stroke air-cooled engine, with overhead valves and aluminium cylinder.

The engine is winterized, that is equipped with a special covering to protect the parts most sensitive to cold and to insulate it from sudden drops in temperature. This way, the engine works at its best using the snow blower at low temperatures.

The engine of this snow blower is also equipped with electric starting. This machine is not equipped with battery. In fact, it allows you to start the snow blower directly from the available electrical socket. This solution was devised as batteries, subjected to sudden changes in temperature, tend not to hold a charge. Winterized engines like this one aren't provided with air filter as, working in environments with low temperatures and snow, this last can create humidity that could freeze damaging the air filter and causing problems to the machine.

The correct term would be "Commercial” Power, meaning the standard definition used until a few years ago by all well-known engine manufacturers.

It corresponds to the real power of the crankshaft. This is the power indicated as official in the engine instructions manual.

The 3-roller track with which this snow blower is equipped is superior, compared to traditional 2-roller tracks, in tackling dirt, bumpy or sloping roads, thanks to the greater adaptability to the roughness of the ground.

This is made possible by the distance between the steel rollers at the base of the track, which give it the possibility to better adapt to its shape to the ground.

Instead, in the 2-roller system, the rollers are very close together, making the track very stiff.

Another important advantage is the easier maintenance. In fact, track tensioning is much easier thanks to the external tensioning system placed on the rear steel roller.

The discharge chute of this tracked snow blower is made of enamelled steel and adjustable through the knob placed on the dashboard.

The discharge chute is also equipped with an anti-intrusion safety grid.

The auger compartment is 85cm wide and 54cm high.

The auger supplied with the snow blower is heavy-duty with steel spiral with an optimized profile and serrated edge. These features make it suitable to shred even the hardest snow.

The safety bolts protect the integrity of the gear reducer. They are in fact specifically designed to fail when the blade gets stuck against some stone or obstacle.

Two-stage

The snow is efficiently collected inside the machine through the auger, which expels it through the discharge chute via a high-speed internal centrifugal fan equipped with reinforcement bars.

Adjustable plastic side slides
They allow this snow blower to work on all types of terrain, from the smoothest to those not perfectly even (raising the working height through the slides). It can also work on gravel surfaces.
The plastic structure allows you to work even on particular grounds without scratching them.

The Blackstone tracked snow blower can be set in 3 working positions, to meet every need.

Displacement position: the cutter is raised to facilitate moving operations.

Working position in normal conditions: work function, the auger is parallel to the ground.

Working position with particularly hard snow: work function with the auger facing the ground. This way, it is like the auger is digging in the snow.

The positions are adjustable via the special pedal placed at the bottom, in front of the feet of the operator.

The control panel of this snow blower is simple, intuitive and very functional, also equipped with electronic control of the machine settings.

Gear lever on the right: 6 forward speeds 2 reverse speeds

Assisted steering: the special red lever allows you to unlock the wheel traction, facilitating steering. It makes maneuvers or gear reversing considerably easier.

Electrically heated handles: provide exceptional comfort while working.

Lever on the top of the right handle: activates and deactivates the operation, (whatever the speed selected on the automatic transmission, forward or reverse). By releasing this lever, the machine stops instantly, for safety reasons.

Lever at the top of the left handle: activates and deactivates both the auger and the high-speed fan (activates and deactivates both simultaneously).

Discharge chute adjustment: adjustable through the knob

Lighting is powerful and precise thanks to the led lamps placed in front of the control panel.

Clean-out tool for unclogging. If the discharge chute clogs, you can easily fix it with this tool.

2 POSSIBLE CONFIGURATIONS:

- Upper auger deflector:
when snowdrifts are particularly high and consistent, it allows to improve the machine performance, easily channeling a much higher layer of snow inside the auger.

- Side snow bars:
when snowdrifts are particularly high and consistent, they prevent the snow on the sides (which is sharply cut by these bars) from falling back onto the surface that has been just swept.
