The machine is powered by a 414 cc, single-cylinder STIGA ST 400 engine that delivers an impressive 6.3 kW of power to the rear wheels and blades; OVH technology reduces noise and makes work eco-friendly and efficient.

The blades are not engaged manually, but thanks to a convenient and fully electronic electromagnetic clutch system.

The riding-on mower is equipped with a hydrostatic transmission that allows speed control with a pedal for both forward and reverse.

Thanks to the new 2-pedal hydrostatic transmission, riding the machine will be really user-friendly. Simply control the riding-on mower through the pedal using your right foot.

The operation is very simple: to move forward just press the pedal with the tip of your foot. The riding-on mower will move according to the pressure applied. Simply push the opposite end of the pedal with your heel to engage the reverse speed.

As soon as the pedal is released, the machine stops and allows safe operation.

Sturdy gears make the transmission difficult to break. The hydrostatic transmission is by far the most modern and functional (although more expensive) compared to regular manual transmission gears. The manual transmission, whenever it is necessary to adjust the speed, forces the operator to stop, change gear (because in all the riding-on mowers with a manual or mechanical transmission the gear is changed when the machine is stationary), leaving the clutch and then start again at the desired speed. In case of frequent speed variations (e.g. in gardens with trees, vases or other types of obstacles) the traditional gear transmission wouldn’t be practical at all. The hydrostatic transmission, on the other hand, allows immediate speed changes, without ever stopping and in a totally automatic manner, simply by varying the pressure on the drive pedal of this transmission.

1 - GRASS COLLECTION SYSTEM (standard-supplied):

It is really easy to empty the grass collector: just use the dedicated handle. This way, you can empty the grass collector where you prefer without any effort.

The grass collector is easy to remove: simply lift it upwards to remove it from its housing.

2- MULCHING (OPTIONAL):

this systems shreds the grass really finely, so that it looks as if it has been collected. This eliminates the problem of its disposal (reducing any effort and shortening the time-saving). Moreover, grass clippings will break down into nutrients and water for the lawn (grass is 80% water) and will thus ensure a perfectly balanced biological cycle. However, please remember that, to ensure the greatest mulching results, the lawn must be watered and the grass needs to be cut often. The conversion from one system to another is easy.

Conversion: remove the grass collector and insert the mulching plug into the central opening.

The cutting deck of the riding-on mower is tilting: it adapts easily to the unevenness of the ground (as long as they are not excessive). Furthermore, this model features a large housing which protects the cutting deck.
