Ceccato Tritone Monster - Professional petrol garden shredder - Honda GX 390

The Ceccato Tritone Monster HONDA GX 390 is a heavy-duty petrol garden shredder, specifically intended for shredding large quantities of vegetable waste; it is entirely Made in Italy and equipped with a large hopper that allows the Operator to easily enter branches and vegetable waste. It can shred branches up to 100 mm diameter.

The hopper can be folded for transport or storage. However, it is required to close the hopper with the proper self-locking nuts.

Hopper opening: 62 x 52 cm Machine size: 150 cm length, 220 mm width, 197 cm high. The hopper can rotate 360° and it is 2 m high. It is equipped with a Honda GX390 4-stroke petrol engine and a 600 mm diameter cutting unit. The central unit is equipped with 1 central double-edged blade, 2 other reversible blades and other 24 reversible shredding hammers inside.

The garden shredder is provided with a 2-belt drive system including a pulley with clutch that transfer motion from the engine to the shredding unit. Furthermore, it is equipped with 2 counter-blades for high shredding performance. The machine is fitted with a round-shaped sieve that sieves the wood chips. It is fitted with 3 large pneumatic wheels. One wheel is swivelling and can be adjusted by means a drawbar to facilitate manual movement.

The Tritone Monster with Honda GX390 engine complies with CE safety standards.

Warning: Like all wood chippers and garden shredders, it is not suited for shredding grass, leaves, pine needles, etc. (it is intended to shred branches, but it can also grind leaves, needles and others)

Garden shredders intended use:
- The wood chipper must grind only green branches and not dried ones (which would limit its shredding capacity and lead to quick deterioration of the blades);
- The branches must be preferably long, smooth and not knobby (otherwise the cutting diameter would be reduced);
- The branch cutting diameter indicated is the maximum, so it is advised not to shred larger branches. In this case it would be better to purchase a shredder with a larger branch cutting diameter;
- The cutting diameter can vary according to the amounts of wood (e.g: oak, olive, plum and peach are hardwood and can reduce the cutting capacity of the wood chipper);

The machine is equipped with a large steel hopper, 62 x 52 cm, able to process even very bulky branches and leaves, without having to pre-shred them. Thus, it also features a higher capacity that allows entering a large amount of material at a time.

The central rotor is composed of highly-thick 2 steel flywheels firmly assembled together.

These then represent a sturdy unit (the main component of the garden shredder) of truly superior size, strength and performance, with 69 cm diameter.

This rotor is therefore one of the sturdiest and largest rotors on the market.

Equipped with 2 large shredding blades. They pre-shred the wood into the hopper reducing it in coarse wood chips.

The large door of the rotor unit is equipped with 2 sturdy interchangeable counter-blades. These act as counter-blades to the 2 main blades and perform a scissor effect at the first cut of the branch entered into the hopper, thus ensuring high cutting performance.

The centre of the rotor is provided with other 2 blades for optimising shredding results.

Equipped with 24 hardened steel shredding hammers (or blades) rotating at high speed. Thanks to their centrifugal motion they shred the branches in small wood chips.

Around the rotor there is a round-shaped sieve with many counter-blades to improve the quality of the wood chips and the effectiveness of the 24 rotating hammers.
Differently from the first counter-blades, these ones are properly tilted to shred the branches entered into the hopper.

The Honda GX 390 engine is powerful and heavy-duty, with the latest generation technology in OHV valve head.

Many other machines on the market, on the other hand, are fitted with Honda “GC” series, which was developed for domestic and more limited operations and features a lower quality to the former and is cheaper.

The outer shredding chamber (the largest and sturdiest in its category) is proportionate to the rotor it includes. It is wide and features a round-shape. It guarantees excellent productivity, as well as the durability of the system.

The machine structure is 100% made of steel. No plastic has been used.

The high steel thickness of the shredding chamber proves the high quality and sturdiness of the machine.

Provided with 360° rotating discharge chute.

Simply rotate the lever and then the chute by means the 2 handles placed in the lower part of the chute.

As the discharge chute is 2 m high, this allows it to discharge the wood chips directly into the tractor or lorry trailer.

The inclination of the discharge chute is also adjustable in order to control the distance of the discharged shredded material.

This transmission gives the machine an extraordinary sturdiness, protecting both the motor and the internal shredding rotor from any kind of internal shock or kickback.

In case of a rotor clogging caused, for example, by a too large branch, stones, etc.. there is no risk of breaking the drive shaft and the motor, but the intermediate belt will slip or at least will brake down.

Much longer service life than the standard systems still used by all manufacturers on their the engine powered models where the engine is directly connected to the shredding unit.

The wood chipper can be folded for easy transport or storage.

It is recommended to tighten the self-locking bolts supplied with the hopper before starting the machine.

Two built-in rear pneumatic wheels of large-sized facilitate the transport.

Furthermore, a third wheel with steering handlebar is placed in the front part of the shredder to ensure the Operator high manoeuvrability.
