In this category you can find disc petrol garden shredders, mostly suitable to shred wood and thick branches, but also green or organic materials of small and medium size.
The cut is carried out through a hardened steel disc rotor with blades, which allows to shred even the hardest and thickest branches. The shredding internal rotor produces large wood chips, which constitutes a pre-shredding phase.
Then, wood chips pass through a high-speed rotating jointed hammer shredding system before the final product is ejected through the discharge chute.
Compared to cutting systems without hammers, the wood chips will be much smaller, about 2-3 cm. Many models are equipped with removable grids which allow you to set the degree of fineness of the wood chips produced and whose final size is suitable for pellet production, using pellet machines.
In order to also shred leaves with this type of petrol wood chipper, it is important to mix them with wood or large or medium-sized pieces of wood. These shredders are specifically designed for chipping medium and large diameter branches (subject to the maximum cutting diameter indicated on each model), and are not suitable for leaves and small green material or small diameter branches.
All garden shredders are equipped with a large hopper which allow inserting large foliage and avoid separating small and large material; moreover, once inserted, the material will be automatically pulled inside, without the help of tools or operators.
Large pneumatic wheels, adjustable discharge chute and several safety systems complete the range of accessories mounted on these products. For larger models there is also a trailer hitch fitted as standard for easy transport.
