Mosa GE 1800 BMI Inverter Generator

The Mosa GE 1800 BMI inverter generator is very easy to use and convenient to transport, weighing only 21 kg.

The generator is able to reach a maximum power of 2 Kw.

The generator control panel also features a 16A Schuko socket and a 12V 8.3A socket for battery chargers (cable included).

It has a Mosa GK 80-i engine with a displacement of 79.7cc and a rated power of 2.5 HP.

The inverter technology:

This generator produces electrical energy with a constant frequency and voltage, regardless of the variation of the load and the engine speed; this is made possible by the use of an electronic converter that disengages the amplitude of the input voltage from the output.

Unlike traditional generators, a permanent magnet generator is used together with a speed monitoring system of the engine rpm according to the actually used power, which allows a significant reduction of fuel consumption and less noise with the use of average loads downs.

The reliability and the quality of the energy produced with this system allows the power supply of electronic equipment such as computers, medical equipment, measuring instruments, and any particularly device sensitive to variations in voltage and frequency.

Silenced Generator:

this aspect allows the use in camping sites, mobile homes, in public places, homes, condos, villas, townhouses, hobby or wherever it is required silent electricity.

- LEFT LIGHT: Oil warning system. Designed to prevent engine damage caused by an insufficient amount of oil. - RIGHT LIGHT: Electricity supply. It subsequently illuminates when power switch is on. Under normal conditions this green light should be the only one turned on.

- CENTRAL LIGHT: Overload warning. If the generator is overloaded (over 1.7 kW) or if there is a malfunction or a short circuit in a device connected, this red overload indicator lights up. After a few seconds, it will stop the power supply and the green light will turn off.

How To Select The Correct Power Rating Of The Generator

As regards the power needed referring to the use you will make of your generator, here below an extremely useful table to guide you among consumptions, starting coefficient and watt. Firstly, the highest-quality method is to identify which are the electric appliances we need to power with the generator and then perform a simple calculation to identify the necessary power that the generator must supply, as explained below.

Power required = Electric appliance consumption X Breakaway starting coefficient

The starting coefficient represents a fundamental feature for all the electric equipment as it indicates how much the consumption of the electric appliance increases. Therefore, it allows to concretely determine how many WATTs are necessary during the start-up operations.

Example: Air compressor ( 1500 Watt ) X Starting coefficient ( 2 ) = 3000 Watt

Hence, it is important to address your choice on a generator featuring equal or higher WATT-rated electric power than the result obtained from the calculation made.

Inverter Generator – Warnings And Range Of Application

  • This inverter generator is provided with ELECTRONIC CARD, which allows stabilizing the electric power supplied, producing an almost perfectly shaped electric wave.

    This makes the generator particularly suitable for different applications, but also unsuitable for others.

    RANGE OF APPLICATION, some examples: it allows powering all types of electronic equipment (as they are equipped with electronic card, consequently requiring stable electric current to avoid the risk of damaging these cards). It is also intended to ensure electric power to electric household appliances, kitchen appliances as well as leisure time equipment (appliances used on motor homes, boats, etc.).

    The generator is NOT SUITABLE FOR powering construction and workshop equipment, DIY equipment, welding machines and other appliances that are equipped with brush motors (they may cause electric power surges back to the unit in case of wear of the brushes damaging the generator electronic card). Inverter generators are not suitable for all the appliances listed above that are typically construction equipment applied on crafts or building sectors.
