The Marina Systems MX 55 SK 3V petrol lawn mower is a technical solution for maintaining surfaces of up to 2, 500 square metres.

Actual Power: 4.5 HP
This corresponds to the real power delivered at the crankshaft. It is the figure stated as official in the manual or in the engine manufacturer’s technical data.* This figure may vary for the same engine model depending on the rotational speed that the equipment manufacturer has specified for the engine in question.

Most lawn mowers that offer multiple functions, such as collection and mulching, are equipped with a multi-purpose blade that performs reasonably well but fails to deliver excellent results for either type of cut.

The Marina Systems lawn mower offers 5 cutting height adjustments. These range from a minimum of 20 mm to a maximum of 65 mm.

It is equipped with galvanised wheels, which are more durable than traditional wheels. The centralised adjustment is incredibly quick and intuitive: simply operate the lever to raise the machine.

Rear-wheel drive (self-propelled).

Equipped with a sturdy belt drive with a gearbox for the rear wheels.

This allows the operator to mow the lawn effortlessly, optimising the machine’s traction and feed efficiency.

Large 208–280 mm galvanised metal wheels with double sealed bearings, which are resistant to moisture and ensure a professional cut even on lawns not perfectly level. They are mounted on ball bearings to improve manoeuvrability .

The high-wheel system provides incredible manoeuvrability and provides significant extension of the mower’s lifespan.

The mower is operated using the black lever on the handlebar.

Cutting system with grass collector:

The lawn mower is equipped with a spacious 70-litre canvas collector coated in aluminium, which is very easy to remove and empty.

The lower and upper sections of the grass collector are made of rigid plastic, providing strength and sturdiness and preventing the canvas from tearing when it comes into contact with the ground

A convenient handle is located at the top of the grass collector to facilitate removal and emptying when it is full.

REAR DISCHARGE SYSTEM:

allows you to mow the lawn without using the grass collector, depositing the clippings directly at the rear of the lawn mower.

Simply remove the grass collector and the rear discharge system will automatically engage.

MULCHING CUTTING SYSTEM:

for cutting grass without collecting it, shredding it very finely before depositing it on the ground.

The specialised mulching cutting blade supplied ensures the very best results for this type of cutting, on a par with the best mulching mowers.

Converting to the mulching system:

• open the grass collector
• insert the supplied mulching plug
• lower the rear deflector to activate the mulching system.

WHAT IS MULCHING:
a cutting system that allows the grass clippings to be shredded and then released back onto the lawn, so small that they appear almost as if they have been collected. This eliminates the problem of disposing of the clippings, reducing effort and drastically cutting down the time spent mowing. The grass decomposes and turns into nutrients for the lawn and into water (grass is 80% water), ensuring a perfectly balanced biological cycle. However, it is important remembering that, to ensure the system works as efficiently as possible, the lawn should be watered, and the grass should be cut at least once a week.

SIDE DISCHARGE SYSTEM:

for cutting grass without collecting it (even grass slightly taller than normal, given the high disposal capacity of the side discharge deflector)

Leaving the mulching plug in place, so that it blocks the rear grass discharge, simply lift the black side cover on the housing and insert the supplied side deflector with a simple movement.

The LAWN MOWER is designed and intended exclusively for mowing grass in gardens (and not on other types of terrain), characterised by smooth level surfaces, without stones or other solid objects, and grass maintained as a “lawn” (i.e. no wild or unmantained grass), which should be cut regularly, ensuring it does not grow beyond 25–30 cm (as most lawn mowers are unable to cut grass taller than this). Also avoid slopes steeper than 15% (≈9°), except for 4x4 models.

For more demanding jobs, involving wild grass or grass taller than specified, or surfaces rougher than a garden, consider the alternative product categories “Petrol rough cut mower” or “Brush cutter”.

Please also note that grass should only be cut when both the lawn and the ground beneath are completely dry. Mow the grass only in dry weather, well away from periods of rain or watering, and preferably in the afternoon when it is not saturated with morning moisture. Wet grass tends to bend under the weight of the cutting blades, reducing cutting efficiency, increasing the risk of clogging in the cutting deck and placing excessive strain on the engine.
