The GeoTech PRO PCS 55 ET bio-wood chipper or chipper is specifically designed for shredding medium-diameter branches and stumps. Ideal for anyone who needs to maintain green spaces and quickly remove and grind biodegradable waste from the ground.
The PCS 55ET is equipped with modern electrical safety devices that comply with CE standards.
The strengths of this machine are:
- Robustness thanks to the steel rotor system.
- Cutting diameter (easily reaches 80 mm on green, not dry wood).
- Exceptional working capacity, it can handle intense and heavy work sessions, even constantly grinding large diameter wood-fired at a professional level.
- High hourly productivity, well above that of classic petrol-powered shredders with blade and hammer rotors (can reach a productivity of 5/7 mc/h)
Limitations: the final size of the wood chips is larger than average due to the lack of centrifugal hammers. The shredder produces fragments of approximately 2-3 cm and is not suitable for grinding leaves or other small green material
Please note: Like all shredders and wood chippers, it is not suitable for grinding grass, leaves, pine needles, etc. (it is designed to shred branches, but can grind leaves, needles and other vegetation that may be attached to them)
Main instructions for use for all shredders on the market:
- The shredder must grind branches that have been recently cut from the tree and are not dry (as this would limit its shredding capacity and cause rapid deterioration of the blades).
- The branches should preferably be long, regular in shape and not knotty (otherwise the cutting diameter is reduced);
- The stated cutting diameter is the maximum, so in use it represents the exception rather than the rule. In this case, consider purchasing a shredder with a larger cutting diameter;
- The cutting diameter may vary depending on the consistency of the wood (for example, oak, olive, plum and peach are very hard woods and can reduce the cutting capacity of shredders)
