GeoTech Pro DGP 8000SE single-phase silent diesel generator is a semi-professional product intended for private use. It is specifically suitable to be installed in close proximity to residential areas and public buildings thanks to the soundproofing enclosures and to its residential silencer.

GeoTech DGP 8000SE is intended for generating single-phase electric power up to 6.0 kW Max power output.

The GeoTech Pro diesel generator features a number of main characteristics. It is possible to describe these as follows:

• Electric key start.
• AVR card: it allows an automatic output voltage regulation maintaining it constant even in case of sudden changes in load.
• 2 outputs with Schuko power outlet.
• 1 output with single-phase industrial power outlet.

It is suitable for external ATS, which allows starting the unit automatically whenever essential supplies have to be maintained and there is no production of electric power.

WARNING: all these models of generators that do not belong to the PROFESSIONAL series (considering the product level evaluation used by our website) are not intended for more than 3-4 hours continuous work in order not to reduce the alternator durability as well as that of one of the other machine components due to the unit overheating or wear. As regards a home or intensive use of these generators, it is important to follow the indications mentioned above. The ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) panel has to be connected both to the electric utility and to the generator.

It allows providing electric power automatically in case of power interruptions.

The ATS device specifically reveals its functionality whenever an electric utility outage occurs: indeed, it is able to prevent serious effects to people as well as economic damage that can be caused in these particular situations.

DGP 8000SE is known to be a silent generator: indeed, all the noise emissions are considerably reduced with 97 dBA sound intensity.

The alternator of this GeoTech Pro generator consists of a copper case.

This unit is also equipped with AVR card that allows an automatic output voltage regulation always maintaining it constant even in case of sudden changes in load.

The generator door panel can be opened. This particular feature represents one of the main innovations that has been introduced by GeoTech Pro for this generator series.

It allows easy access to the tank and it is also used to reach the engine upper part making easier in this way all the inspection and maintenance procedures compared to all the other models which do not feature this characteristic.

It is fully coated with soundproof materials.

This panel is also equipped with pnaumatic piston which has been specifically designed to avoid the panel accidental shutting.

The control panel of this generator features a number of different functions.

• Engine electric key start.
• Digital voltmeter, which allows controlling and measuring the output voltage.
• Light indicators: power switch button and oil pressure warning light.
• Safety stop button: it acts as further switch button, which is able to shut off the electric power generated by the unit.
• Power switch button.
• The generator we are focusing on is also equipped with battery charger, suitable to power all the 12 volts batteries forcing electric current through it. WARNING: this battery charger does not allow powering all the 12 volts electronic device since we are dealing with a standard recharger.

The generator is also equipped with a high-capacity fuel tank made of steel, which allows the generator running for a long period of time. It consists of a fuel level gauge, specifically used to check and inspect the level of fuel contained in the tank.

It is also fitted with side handles, which allows its easy manoeuvring and transport.

Firstly, the highest-quality method is to identify which are the electric appliances we need to power with the generator and then perform a simple calculation to identify the necessary power that the generator must supply, as explained below.

Power required = Electric appliance consumption X Breakaway starting coefficient

The starting coefficient represents a fundamental feature for all the electric equipment as it indicates how much the consumption of the electric appliance increases. Therefore, it allows to concretely determine how many WATTs are necessary during the start-up operations.

Example: Air compressor ( 1500 Watt ) X Starting coefficient ( 2 ) = 3000 Watt

Hence, it is important to address your choice on a generator featuring equal or higher WATT-rated electric power than the result obtained from the calculation made.

• The generator is NOT intended for PROFESSIONAL use. It means that it is exclusively designed for occasional use (infrequent use of the unit). The working hours must not exceed 3-4 of continuous running (which may lead to the alternator overheating or wear, especially to its internal components: alternator stator and rotor). Whether you’re looking for a generator for intensive use (once a week, for instance), the operator should address the choice to a different type generator specifically designed for a more intensive use. Indeed, you should focus the attention on PROFESSIONAL or even INDUSTRIAL quality-level generator (that is not provided with standard 3000 rev/min alternator as this specific model, but it is designed with professional alternator with low speed: 1500 rev/min – with liquid-cooled engine and alternator – in this case you’ll see that the unit specifications and price are much different from this model).

The generator is not designed to be installed in photovoltaic or solar energy systems for energy production nor for the recharging or maintenance of batteries of these specific or other electric systems. Indeed, it may damage seriously the generator on its internal components (alternator, engine and electrical component).
