To ensure proper functioning, it is essential that the garden meets certain conditions regarding satellite signal visibility.

Charging station position: The charging station must be placed in an obstacle-free area, with a clear view of the sky.
An area of at least 6 meters in diameter free of objects that could block the satellite signal is required.

Trees and plants: Trees with a canopy over 4 meters can interfere with GPS signal reception, temporarily interrupting the robot's operation. In such cases, it is recommended to exclude areas under the trees from the cutting perimeter.

Narrow passages: If there are narrow passages between buildings or hedges taller than one meter, the distance between structures must be at least 4 meters to allow good signal reception. Narrower passages should be excluded from the cutting area.

L or U-shaped obstacles: If there are L or U-shaped buildings or hedges, they may block the satellite signal.
It is important to trace the virtual perimeter at a minimum distance of 1.5 meters from such obstacles. In the presence of barriers taller than 3 meters, the minimum width of the area must be twice the height of the obstacle.

The Trim-to-Edge system of the Gardena Smart SILENO Free allows the robot to cut grass very close to the edges, ensuring a precise and tidy finish along walls, fences, and other obstacles.
Near the edges, the robot activates the rear blade and performs a circular manoeuvre that minimizes residual grass along the boundaries.

The cutting height can be adjusted to 4 settings, just select the desired working height using the practical regulator.
