Rover 30 electric transfer pump with 0.9 hp motor is a self-priming, two-way electric pump.
This is a standard two-way side liquid ring self-priming pump, with star impeller. This particular feature gives it extraordinary self-priming capacity, even with discontinuous availability of liquid during suction (which means presence of air or other gases).
It is suitable for the gentle decanting of filtered liquids. The liquids to be decanted must be neutral and clean, or contain a percentage of solids (0.2-0.5% max.) of such hardness and grain size that the pump's internal shimming surfaces are not worn. In extreme cases, a fine-mesh filter mounted on the suction line may be useful.
