Self-propelled scythe mower with Briggs&Stratton petrol engine

We introduce this self-propelled petrol scythe mower featuring pneumatic tractor wheels driven by an oil-bath worm screw transmission, with a single forward gear. The 87 cm sickle bar attachment (supplied as standard in the insertion price) is a double-blade movement type (both the lower and upper blades which compose the bar move in opposing motion). This makes it different from all the classic petrol-engine scythe mowers on the market, proposed by all the different manufacturers, still equipped with single-blade movement (only the upper blade moves, while the lower blade is fixed).

The sickle bar is also driven by a sturdy belt drive, which generally gives the attachment a good service life due to the friction effect that the drive features during motion.
This self-propelled petrol mower is also equipped with a powerful petrol engine from Briggs&Stratton, a company known as the world's largest manufacturer of petrol engines for garden and agricultural equipment.

Suitable for mowing uncultivated and wild grass, even very tall ones, and especially for grass to be collected and used for livestock feed.
In fact, the particularity of these mowers is that they preserve the complete integrity of the cut grass during their work, making a single clean cut at the base of the stem. This ensures its integrity and the possibility of collecting it for livestock feeding.

The bar is made up of a lower blade and an upper blade, both of which move in opposite directions to one another. This differentiates the cutter bar of this Eurosystems petrol-driven scythe mower from all the other classic mowers still on the market today, which are still made with a traditional single-blade movement (i.e. only the upper blade moves, while the lower blade is fixed and performs the simple counter-blade function).

Drive between cutting bar and machine body via belt system (protected by the large white front casing shown in photo).
This safeguards the service life of the cutter bar attachment (which is the most stressed during working, as it is the one that actually performs the cutting operation in contact with the ground). In fact, the belt performs a similar function to that of a clutch (it can slip in the event of impact from the blades, most of the time avoiding the risk that the various components may wear out or become damaged).
However, we do not recommend taking bumps with the machine or working on stony ground.

A further big advantage of the belt-driven transmission is the blade engagement and disengagement lever. This twin-blade mower allows you to activate it only during the working phase and then deactivate it in the off phases, e.g. when moving (using wheel traction with the stationary blade).
