The Icarus V1 ECO PLUG-IN is a harvester designed to increase operational efficiency in a wide range of agricultural contexts, while ensuring plant and fruit protection during harvest.

This device is equipped with a high-efficiency brush motor, providing 325 W power and a rotation speed of 1200 rpm, making it ideal for fast and precise operations.

Operating at a nominal voltage of 12V and a power consumption ranging between 7 and 8 Ah, the Icarus V1ECO 6 PLUG-IN ensures a good balance between performance and power consumption, allowing effective energy management.

Weighing only 3 kg, this harvester offers great manoeuvrability and reduces operator fatigue even during extended use.

The harvester head, made of sturdy materials, is equipped with interchangeable carbon fibre prongs, allowing efficient harvesting while preserving the integrity of the fruit.

An additional safety feature is the strain relief system built into the power cable, designed to prevent accidental damage during operation.

The adjustable telescopic pole, with a length ranging from 150 to 220 cm, provides flexibility in adapting to different operating requirements.

Prongs

The rakes are made of the purest carbon and make a characteristic double side-to-side motion.

The rakes swing in a right-to-left motion, which allows for a wider collecting radius. This special swinging motion reduces to minimum the vibrations transferred to the operator.

The Campagnola Icarus is one of the battery-powered harvesters with the highest hourly harvesting capacity. Unlike all harvesters on the market, there is no specific technique of use for the Icarus. It can be used like a rake on well pruned and loose plants.

On the other hand, it can be inserted and extracted repeatedly from the foliage in unpruned and very dense plants (which do not allow the machines to rake through).

The advantage is an exceptional ability to penetrate into foliage, thanks to the scattered front, and very deep thanks to the exceptional length of the prongs.

about the autonomy of lithium batteries

When using a harvester, the choice of battery depends on the practical needs of the user. The main differences between a base-mounted battery and a backpack battery concern freedom of movement and autonomy. The base-mounted battery is more manoeuvrable and lighter, but offers reduced autonomy. In contrast, the backpack provides longer working sessions, although it can be bulkier in tight spaces.

Base-mounted lithium-ion batteries offer greater freedom of movement. The lack of cumbersome cables improves agility when working between trees, making the harvester easier to manoeuvre. They are generally lighter than the backpak once, reducing operator fatigue, and make it easier to transport the device. In addition, handling is more intuitive, not requiring additional equipment such as a backpack. On the downside, however, they have a very limited autonomy and often cannot do a full day's work on their own.

On the other hand, lithium backpack batteries, while adding a certain amount of bulk, allow for greater energy capacity, extending the operational life of the harvester without the need for frequent recharging or battery changes. Their higher capacity allows long working sessions without interruption. In addition, shifting the weight of the battery to the back reduces the direct load on the arm and body, better balancing the overall weight of the equipment.

However, backpack batteries can be less ergonomic and uncomfortable in tight spaces or during quick movements between trees, and the presence of the cable can be an obstacle or obstruction during operation. Finally, the constant carrying of the backpack may cause more fatigue in the long run than an integrated solution in the product base.

PLUG-IN Electric Motor

The Campagnola ICARUS V1 ECO PLUG-IN is fitted with a 325 W brush motor placed in the head of the machine.

The machine can be powered either by a 12V lead-acid car battery (not included), with a consumption of 8 Ah, or by a Campagnola Plug-in 21.6V lithium battery.

The Campagnola ICARUS V1 ECO PLUG-IN features 9 carbon harvesting prongs on the head.

The 36 cm long prongs allow deep access into the plant.
