Campagnola Alice STAR 58 PLUS olive harvester is intended for any type of cultivar and training system, even for olive trees ready for mechanical harvesting. For this reason, it is suitable both for well pruned and thick trees placed on level grounds or hills. The remarkable new development from Campagnola is the new motor of the 58V line: it becomes compatible not only with the other harvester heads (Hercules and Holly) also with all the other products in the same range.

The motor at the bottom of the pole gives the harvester exceptional balance, which translates into less fatigue during use

Thanks to a 12-58V transformer inside the machine, it is possible to use a simple battery (12V car type) to fully exploit the entire 58V power supply.

Focus on the head-mounted transmission (motor free), very slim and light.

Nowadays, however, 99% of olive harvesters on the market still mount the motor on the head, next to the rakes. This is the easiest and cheapest solution (because mechanically it is simpler), but makes the harvester extremely unbalanced in weight and very tiring to use

It is important to remember that in most cases the harvester is held at the bottom of a pole, and if the weight is concentrated on the top, it becomes really heavy to handle and certainly impossible to use a whole day.

Therefore, when choosing an olive harvester, it is incorrect to consider only the total weight, as it can be misleading when evaluating ease of use—especially for models with the motor mounted in the head, where about 80% of the weight is concentrated there. Ease of use depends not on the total weight, but on weight distribution, and therefore on having the motor mounted at the bottom of the pole.

The rakes are made of extra-flexible thermoplastic resin and have a characteristic and exclusive DOUBLE MOVEMENT.

While the rakes swing from right to left, at the same time, each tine moves in the opposite direction, creating an 8X7 cm ellipse that allows a larger collecting radius. This special swinging motion reduces to minimum the vibrations transferred to the operator.

• Greater harvesting capacity of each tine, resulting in improved olive detachment.
• Over 50% higher harvesting efficiency.
• Almost no twig breakage (whereas the competitors’ purely horizontal left-right movement, being more aggressive, causes many twigs to break).
• Significantly reduced vibrations (thanks to the two counter-rotating motions that balance each other, lowering vibration levels).
• Greater working range of the two rakes: by rotating, they alternately move closer together and farther apart at high speed, reaching a considerable distance from each other during the outward phase, also thanks to the exceptional length of the tines. This reduces the need for repositioning the rakes within the canopy.

The Campagnola Alice is the battery-powered olive harvester with the highest hourly collection capacity. Unlike all harvesters on the market, there is no specific technique of use for the Alice. It can be used like a comb on well pruned and thin plants.

On the other hand, it can be inserted and extracted repeatedly from the foliage in unpruned and very dense plants (which do not allow the machines to comb through).

The harvesting is carried out with very long tines alternating with shorter ones.

The advantage is that the machine can easily penetrate between the branches, thanks to the more sparse front, but can also go deep thanks to the exceptional length of the tines, which are longer than other olive harvesters with rakes on the market.

The most important features to consider when choosing a carbon pole instead of an aluminium one are:

• Higher sturdiness;
• More rigidity, thus higher control;
• It weighs 300 grams less than the aluminium ones;

The length of this pole is the ideal configuration of this olive harvester, because the motor is mounted at the end of the pole.

It is ideal for shorter olive trees, we recommend holding the pole from the middle to maintain a weight balance of 50%-50% (just like shown in the upper diagram) making it even more handy to use.

The rotating pole for electrical equipment is 100% made of Carbon, thus resulting robust and extremely light.

Professional snap-fit connectors. Support base with cable routing eyelet . Provides full protection of the extension cable and the motor connection socket. Both in the working phase, when the cable is constantly being pulled, and in the other phase, when the machine is resting vertically on the ground.

The head weight of most olive harvesters currently on the market, with the motor mounted in the head, is around 1800 grams, regardless of the brand.

Equipped with the innovative PSS (Power Saving System), an automatic device that slows down the rakes when they are not in contact with the plant, while accelerating them back to working speed as soon as they are reintroduced into the foliage.

This guarantees considerable energy savings (lower battery consumption) and less wear and tear on mechanical components.
