The UniversalShredder is designed for the rapid shredding of branches and pruning waste.
It uses laser-cut blades made of hardened steel, capable of processing branches up to 25 mm in diameter. The double-edged reversible blade extends its service life simply by turning it over when one side becomes worn.
Power is supplied by two 18 V batteries delivering a total output equivalent to 36 V. The brushless motor, combined with the OptiCut system, automatically adjusts the speed to maintain continuous shredding even with varying loads.
The large feed hopper makes it easy to insert branches; the feed paddle allows you to push the material safely. The shredded material is collected directly into the 28-litre fabric grass collector supplied.
The lightweight, cordless design allows the shredder to be easily moved across lawns, paths and courtyards, enabling you to work in different areas of the garden.
Please note: like all garden shredders and wood chippers, it is not suitable for shredding grass, leaves, pine needles, etc. (it is designed to shred branches, but may shred leaves, needles and other vegetation that may be attached to them)
Key usage guidelines for all garden shredders on the market:
- the shredder must process branches that have been recently cut from the tree, and not dry ones (these would limit its shredding capacity and cause rapid wear of the cutting blades);
- branches should preferably be long and slender, straight and knot-free (otherwise the cutting diameter is reduced);
- the stated cutting diameter is the maximum, so in practice this represents the exception rather than the rule. In such cases, consider purchasing a shredder with a larger cutting diameter;
- the cutting diameter may vary depending on the hardness of the wood (for example, oak, olive, plum and peach are very hard woods and may reduce the shredder’s cutting capacity)
