Blue Bird SHL 1500 - Petrol Garden Shredder - Loncin G420FD Engine

The Blue Bird SHL 1500 bio-shredder is designed to process branches, logs and other biodegradable soil residues, representing an optimal solution for those who need to manage the maintenance of green areas and effectively dispose of materials resulting from pruning activities.

Equipped with a Loncin G420FD engine, it delivers 9KW of power for high and reliable performance over time.

The machine is also equipped with a cutting drum, which incorporates two 233 mm blades, optimising the crushing process and contributing to a significant reduction in the decomposition time of the processed material.

Equipped with two pneumatic wheels plus an adjustable pivoting support wheel, it ensures easy transport.

The large loading hopper, 64 x 61 cm, facilitates the insertion of plant waste, ensuring easy and efficient use.

The possibility of adjusting the angle of the discharge deflector up to 360° allows shredded debris to be directed directly into containers for disposal, making the process more convenient.

Warning: Like all wood chippers and garden shredders, it is not suited for shredding grass, leaves, pine needles, etc. (it is intended to shred branches, but it can also grind leaves, needles and other vegetation that may be attached to the branches)

Garden shredders intended use:
- The wood chipper must grind only green branches, recently cut from the tree and not dried ones (which would limit its shredding capacity and lead to quick deterioration of the blades);
- The branches must be preferably long, smooth and not knobby (otherwise the cutting diameter would be reduced);
- The declared cutting diameter is the maximum, so in use, it is the exception and not the rule. In this case it would be better to purchase a shredder with a larger branch cutting diameter;
- The cutting diameter can vary according to the consistency of the wood (e.g: oak, olive, plum and peach are hard woods and can reduce the cutting capacity of the wood shredder);

This shredder, like all petrol shredders with roller rotor, must be strictly used at maximum engine speed; the shredding rotor is large and must reach the maximum speed to ensure high results by harnessing its centrifugal force.

• UNIFIED HOPPER:

It considerably simplifies and speeds up the work.
It relieves the Operator to separate large branches from smaller and green ones (before shredding), while each of them must be entered in their own hopper in standard garden shredders with 2 separate hoppers.

• SELF-FEEDING:

Once the branches are inserted into the hopper, the shredder pulls them inside the shredding unit autonomously. This is possible thanks to the hopper vertical design. Thanks to the gravitational force, the mechanism can pull inside the branches to be shredded.

WARNING: the branches must not be too bulky because this may limit the functionality of the machine.

It is capable of shredding branches with a maximum diameter of 100mm.

All shredders equipped with a roller system, like this one, perform best when inserting branches that have already been trimmed and cleaned (not thick and with excessive branching). They are ideal for large branches and not for thin, green, dense or large branches; this is because the roller system is technically not suitable for grinding small or minimal diameters, or green material in general, while they really give their best with real branches of a certain diameter and body.

This is due to their less "centrifugal" power compared to standard disc and blade models, and to the "greater distance between blade and counter-blade", designed for single branches that are already well cleaned but with a large diameter.

The discharge outlet is very high, approx. 1.5 metre above the ground, and is equipped with a deflector with adjustable inclination. It lets you unload vegetable waste into a box.

Further to the deflector tilt, it is also possible to adjust the discharge chute: indeed, it can rotate and by simply loosening and tightening the knobs manually, it can be swivelled to the right or left at various angles.
