The Blue Bird SHL 1000 shredder is specifically designed to perform shredding work on small and medium diameter branches and logs, making it an indispensable tool for those who need to manage and maintain green areas efficiently.

The Bio Shredder stands out for its extraordinary strength, thanks to a high quality steel rotor system, thus guaranteeing long life and resistance even in the most demanding jobs.

Equipped with a Loncin engine with 6.5 HP power that allows for efficiency and durability.

The maximum cutting diameter is 65 mm on green wood, higher than the average of 50/60 mm of bio-shredders with equivalent power, allowing the processing of large branches and logs.

With an exceptional working capacity, it is able to face intensive work sessions, constantly grinding large-diameter woods at professional levels, guaranteeing high hourly productivity.

The machine is equipped with a drum composed of two blades (233 mm) that make it very efficient, ideal for those who need to carry out green maintenance, removing and grinding biodegradable waste quickly and efficiently.

Thanks to the two medium-sized wheels on the sides, the product remains easy to transport.

Attention: Like all wood chippers and garden shredders, it is not suited for shredding grass, leaves, pine needles, etc. (it is intended to shred branches, but it can also grind leaves, needles and others)

Garden shredders intended use:
- The wood chipper must grind only green branches and not dried ones (which would limit its shredding capacity and lead to quick deterioration of the blades);
- The branches must be preferably long, smooth and not knobby (otherwise the cutting diameter would be reduced);
- The branch cutting diameter indicated is the maximum, so it is advised not to shred larger branches. In this case, it would be better to purchase a shredder with a larger branch cutting diameter;
- The cutting diameter can vary according to the amounts of wood (e.g: oak, olive, plum and peach are hardwood and can reduce the cutting capacity of the wood chipper);

This garden shredder, like all petrol shredders with roller rotor, must be strictly used at max. engine speed; the shredding rotor is large and must reach the max. speed to ensure high results by harnessing its centrifugal force.

The machine is provided with centrifugal clutch. It is important to let the engine running at high speed in order to ensure a proper functioning.

It is the only machine of its category with intermediate 2-belt drive transmission
. This feature gives high sturdiness to the unit, protecting both the engine and all the shredding system from every possible internal hit or kickback.

Higher durability over time compared to the standard system of all the manufacturers of petrol-powered machineries, as the transmission is directly connected to the shredding cutting system.

• UNIFIED HOPPER:

It considerably simplifies and speeds up the operations.
It avoids the Operator to separate large branches from smaller and green ones (before shredding), while each of them must be entered in their own hopper in standard garden shredders with 2 separate hoppers.

• SELF-FEEDING:

Once introduced the branches into the hopper, the shredder pulls them inside the shredding unit autonomously thanks to the hopper vertical design. Thanks to the gravitational force, the mechanism can pull inside the branches to be shredded.

WARNING: the branches must not be too bulky because this may limit the functionality of the machine.

All roller shredders like this one do their best work by inserting branches that have already been trimmed and cleaned (not thick and with excessive branching);
and they are ideal for branches with a bit of texture and body, and not for thin, green, thick or large branches; this is because the roller system is technically unsuitable for grinding small or minimal diameters, or green material in general, while it really give its best with real branches of a certain body.

This is due to their less "centrifugal" power compared to standard disc and blade models, and to the "greater distance between blade and counter-blade", designed for single branches that are already well cleaned but with a large diameter.

The exhaust outlet is very high, about 1 metre above the ground, and is equipped with a deflector with adjustable inclination.

It allows discharging the wood chips directly into a box.

Further to the deflector tilt, it is also possible to adjust the discharge chute: indeed it can rotate and simply adjusted either to right or left by manually loosening or tightening the proper knobs.

The front support stand is very large and provides stability to the machine. This allows distributing the weight over a greater surface area, thus preventing the garden shredder sinking into soft grounds.

The Blue Bird garden shredder is equipped with dual grip to facilitate moving operations.

The wood chipper is also provided with 2 pneumatic wheels 4.10- 3.50-4 that ensure easy transport.
