Hydraulic Side and Vertical Shift

Vertical and side hydraulic shift is operated by 2 pistons.

Equipped with 4 hoses connected to the hydraulic connections on the tractor.

A very sturdy shift system. It features two flexible arms with rotating mechanisms mounted on reinforced steel bushings (Pcm).

The flail mower can work up to 90° vertically upwards - 40° downwards.

Focus on the hydraulic piston locking valve, which ensures the machine will maintain the correct operating position while the tractor is moving.

Equipped with an oil flow control system to the rear piston, to always ensure the right movement speed.

Antishock Spring

This flail mower model is equipped with sturdy antishock springs, designed to absorb shocks and vibrations when using the flail mower.

These springs are positioned between the flail mower and the tractor arm, offering various benefits in terms of comfort, performance and durability.

During work, the flail mower can be subjected to significant stresses and shocks due to obstacles, potholes, etc., which can be transmitted to the tractor arm and the operator. Anti-shock springs are designed to mitigate these shocks, reducing the impact on the mechanical parts of the mower and improving operator comfort.

They act as shock absorbers, absorbing the energy generated by shocks and redistributing it evenly along the tractor arm. This reduces pressure on flail mower components such as blades, bearings and gears, contributing to a longer service life and reducing the risk of damage or breakage.

In addition, anti-shock springs help to maintain a constant pressure of the blades on the ground, even under irregular stress. This ensures an even shredding and a clean cut of the grass or plants, guaranteeing a high quality result.

Hammer-cutting Tools

No. of hammers fitted on standard equipment: 18

Focus on one of the hammer flails (hammers) mounted on supports welded to the rotor.

Focus on the side support with hammer flails rotor inner fixing bearing.

Hammer width: 13.5 cm

Bolt length: 104 mm

Hammer hole diameter: 16mm

Rotor, Hammer Flails Supports, Side Bearings

It finely shreds grass and twigs, while simultaneously rolling the turf.

Thanks to the high rotor speed and the great number of hammers (hammer flails), it reduces the wave effect of the turf and has an excellent shredding action.

Thanks to the sharpened toothed hammers, it ensures high-quality results in gardens, lawns and urban areas.

The supports at the ends of the rotor ensure stability thanks to their highly sturdy and solid nature.

Side Drive with Belts and Gear Reducer Unit

Gearbox with gears in oil bath.

5-Belt side drive with large section belt guard, equipped with various ventilation openings (for regular cooling)

Standard 1 3/8” z6 PTO (suitable for all current and recently manufactured tractors): whether you own a particularly old tractor, make sure that it's equipped with the same PTO and with standard clockwise rotation (right-side).

Detail of the gearbox:
1 - Oil level cap
2 - Oil drain cap
3 - SAE 80/90 oil filler cap and vent

THE MACHINE IS PROVIDED WITH OIL.

Opening Bonnet

A distinctive feature of this flail mower is its rear adjustable opening.

This not only allows adjusting the rear discharge space area via simple screws, but also facilitates maintenance.

Focus on the handles for lifting the bonnet.

Stabilising Accessories - Rear roller - 3-point Hitch

Roller scraper and rear roller supplied as standard equipment.

Recommendations for Use - Tractor-mounted Fixed Flail Mowers

To ensure correct operation, a longer service life and safe working conditions, it is essential to use the tractor-mounted flail mower in accordance with the instructions set out in the user manual and the machine’s technical specifications. Incorrect use may result in premature wear of components, reduced performance or damage not covered by the warranty.

Before starting work, always check that the tractor is compatible with the flail mower by verifying the required power, hitch type and intended operating conditions. Correct matching of the machine and the tractor ensures optimum performance and prevents the transmission from being overloaded.

  • Use the flail mower exclusively on suitable surfaces: the machine is designed for grass shredding, wild vegetation, plant residues and materials compatible with the machine’s category. Avoid contact with unintended objects such as stones, metal, plastic or other foreign bodies.
  • Adjust the working height correctly: maintaining an adequate distance from the ground reduces the impact on the cutting units and limits excessive stress on the machine’s structure.
  • Do not operate the machine where there are hidden obstacles or unsuitable ground conditions: ditches, stumps, exposed roots, loose stones or uneven ground can cause sudden impacts and damage to the cutting parts or transmission components.
  • Do not use the flail mower for operations other than shredding: the machine must not be used for earthmoving, ground levelling or other applications not specified by the manufacturer.
  • Always adjust the forward speed to suit the working conditions: excessive speed can reduce the quality of the shredding, increase vibrations and subject the machine to stresses greater than those for which it was designed.
  • Avoid using the machine on excessively damp material: wet grass or particularly damp vegetation can cause material to build up inside the machine, reducing its efficiency.
  • Do not force the tractor forward: if the rotor slows down, vibrations increase or cutting capacity decreases, speed must be reduced and the work adapted to the conditions of the ground and vegetation.
  • Check the condition of the cutting components regularly: worn, damaged or missing blades, hammers or other cutting elements can compromise the machine’s operation and increase vibrations during use.
  • Carry out periodic checks and routine maintenance: check that components are correctly tightened, inspect the condition of the transmission components and ensure the machine is generally clean to maintain its efficiency and safety.

Use of the power take-off (PTO):

The tractor’s power take-off (PTO ) must be used in accordance with the rotational speed specified by the flail mower manufacturer. An incorrect rotational speed may compromise the machine’s operation, causing overheating, accelerated wear or excessive stress on mechanical components.

When attaching and detaching the flail mower, the power take-off must always be disengaged and the tractor switched off. It is also necessary to check that the PTO shaft is correctly installed and has sufficient clearance to move freely while working.
