The Archman AB01 olive harvester is designed for professional olive harvest, with a focus on operational efficiency and reduced operator fatigue.

The lightweight and compact structure, combined with an optimal balance between the head and the machine body, allows for prolonged use even on dense plants or plants with irregular pruning.

The body, made of resistant techno polymer, has a matte red finish, while the black head houses two combs with flexible carbon fibre prongs, a material selected for its mechanical qualities and long life.

The working system is based on an alternating linear movement, which replicates the manual action of combing at a higher speed, promoting the detachment of the olives with a limited impact on the branches.

The special design of the head, which is inclined with respect to the axis, increases the effective harvesting surface and improves agility among the branches.

The device is compatible with fixed or telescopic poles, thanks to the integrated universal attachment, and is designed to be powered by 12V car batteries or lithium batteries.

The small size of the head allows for precise operation within the canopy, avoiding blockages between branches. The balance between the components reduces vibrations and the load on the arms and shoulders, improving the continuity of daily work.

The interaction between the inclined profile and the alternating motion of the rods allows for a regular and vertical detachment of the olives, directing their fall in a controlled manner towards the bottom. This allows for a more orderly harvest on the sheet, minimising product dispersion and mechanical damage to the fruit.

When using an olive harvester, the choice of battery-powered depends on the practical needs of the user. The main differences between a base-mounted battery and a backpack battery mainly concern freedom of movement and autonomy. The base-mounted battery is more manoeuvrable and lighter, but offers reduced autonomy. On the other hand, the backpack battery guarantees longer working sessions, although it can be more cumbersome in confined spaces.

Battery-powered units mounted on the base of the product offer greater freedom of movement. The lack of cumbersome cables improves agility when working among trees, making the olive harvester easier to manoeuvre. These batteries are generally lighter than backpack batteries, reducing operator fatigue and simplifying transport of the device. In addition, handling is more intuitive, requiring no additional equipment such as a backpack. However, one disadvantage is that they have a very limited range and often do not allow a full day's work to be completed on their own.

On the other hand, backpack lithium batteries, while adding some bulk, provide greater energy capacity, extending the operating time of the olive harvester without the need for frequent recharging or battery changes. Their superior capacity allows for long work sessions without interruption. Furthermore, shifting the weight of the battery to the back reduces the direct load on the arm and body, better balancing the overall weight of the equipment.

However, backpack batteries can be less ergonomic and uncomfortable in tight spaces or during rapid movements between trees, and the presence of the cable can be an obstacle or a hindrance during operation. Finally, constantly carrying the backpack can cause greater fatigue in the long term compared to a solution integrated into the base of the product.
