AL-KO Comfort 40 E electric lawn mower provided with grass collector, rear discharge and mulching cutting system.

Ideal for mowing lawns without the bulk of a petrol engine.

Sturdy 47 cm width polypropylene (ABS) reinforced housing made of cast.

It is recommended for mowing surfaces up to 400 s.q. m. and it is provided with a 40 cm cutting width.

Adjustable cutting height in 6 different positions from 28 to 68 mm.

The machine is equipped with a 43 L ABS grass collector with the full-grass collector indicator.

This mulching system allows finely crushing grass clippings and leave them directly on the ground, making them a fertiliser for the lawn.

WARNING: the electric cable is not included in the purchase, this accessory can be purchased separately.

Grass collection system

The AL-KO lawn mower is equipped with the rear discharge system.

The grass collector made of ABS plastic features a large capacity of 37 L.
This important feature allows saving time spent for emptying the grass collector.

Cutting systems: rear discharge

REAR DISCHARGE SYSTEM:

This system allows mowing grass without using the grass collector, discharging the grass clippings directly from the back of the lawn mower.

Simply remove the grass collector and the rear discharge will automatically operate.

Cutting systems: mulching cutting system

MULCHING CUTTING SYSTEM:

This system allows cutting grass without catching it inside the collector, and crushing the clippings into a fine powder before dropping them on the lawn.

To convert the machine for the mulching cut, enter the mulching plug supplied and lower the rear flap.

MAIN SPECIFICATIONS OF THE MULCHING CUTTING SYSTEM:
This grass mowing system allows crushing grass clippings and dropping them on the ground. The resulting grass particles are so small they will be barely noticeable on the lawn. This eliminates the problem of its disposal (reducing any effort and shortening the time-saving). Moreover, grass clippings will break down into nutrients and water for the lawn (grass is 80% water) and will thus ensure a perfectly balanced biological cycle. However, it is worth remembering that, to ensure the greatest mulching results, the lawn should be irrigated and the grass needs cutting at least once a week.

Instructions for Use for Our Customers

The lawn mower is designed and intended exclusively for cutting grass in garden areas (and not on other types of terrain). The surface must be level, free from irregularities, stones, or other solid objects, and covered with maintained lawn grass (therefore, not uncultivated or spontaneous vegetation). Grass should be cut regularly and must not be allowed to grow beyond 25–30 cm, as most lawn mowers are no longer capable of cutting at this height. Slopes exceeding 15% (equivalent to 9°) must be avoided, except when using 4x4 models.

For heavier-duty tasks involving spontaneous vegetation, grass taller than the above-mentioned limits, or rougher surfaces than a garden, please consider alternative product categories such as Petrol Flail Mowers or Brush Cutters.

Furthermore, grass must only be cut when both the lawn and the underlying soil are completely dry. Mowing should be carried out exclusively in dry weather, well away from periods of rain or irrigation, and preferably in the afternoon, when the grass is no longer affected by morning humidity. Wet grass tends to bend under the blades, which reduces cutting efficiency, increases the risk of clogging inside the deck, and subjects the engine to excessive strain.
