GTM Professional GTS 1800 PTO - Tractor-mounted shredder - Roller rotor

The GTM Professional GTS 1800 PTO bio-shredder is designed to offer an efficient solution for handling and disposing of plant waste, with the ability to shred branches and logs up to a diameter of 140 mm.

This makes the device ideal for cleaning green spaces and removing biodegradable waste.

Easy to use and maintain, the shredder features a loading height of 100 cm, which facilitates the loading of materials to be shredded. Safety is ensured by the presence of a safety lever, which is essential to prevent accidents during machine operation.

The roller, equipped with two blades and a counter-blade, is designed to operate at a speed of 2500 RPM, ensuring high efficiency in shredding vegetable waste.

The discharge deflector, which is adjustable by 100°, offers the flexibility of directing the shredded material directly into the skips, facilitating the disposal process. In addition, the machine comes with a gimbal, increasing its practicality and usability.

Warning: Like all wood chippers and garden shredders, it is not suited for shredding grass, leaves, pine needles, etc. (it is intended to shred branches, but it can also grind leaves, needles and others)

Garden shredders intended use:
- The wood chipper must grind only green branches and not dried ones (which would limit its shredding capacity and lead to quick deterioration of the blades);
- The branches must be preferably long, smooth and not knobby (otherwise the cutting diameter would be reduced);
- The branch cutting diameter indicated is the maximum, so it is advised not to shred larger branches. In this case it would be better to purchase a shredder with a larger branch cutting diameter;
- The cutting diameter can vary according to the amounts of wood (e.g: oak, olive, plum and peach are hardwood and can reduce the cutting capacity of the wood chipper);

The machine allows carrying out inspection operations of both the hopper and the roller.

The double-blade system is complemented by the counter-blade in the shredding chamber.

The large flywheel is crucial for storing kinetic energy, allowing the rotor to reach high speeds (up to 2500 rpm) and maintain efficiency even at low tractor engine speeds.

A larger flywheel also helps stabilise rotor speed, reducing load surges on the engine and increasing the longevity of the transmission.

The drum brake provides a reliable and effective method of quickly and safely stopping the rotor

3-belt drive system with protective casing that can be easily inspected with 3 handy screws

This allows operators quick access to internal components for inspection, cleaning or parts replacement without having to dismantle complex parts. By reducing the time and effort required for maintenance, machine availability is increased and downtime is reduced.

A drive system using three belts provides a more balanced load distribution between the belts, improving the efficiency of power transmission from the motor to the rotor

All roller shredders like this one allow high performance by entering leafless and cleaned branches (not thick and with too twigs);
they are ideal for quite large branches and not for many thin or green branches featuring many twigs; this is because the roller system is technically unsuitable for grinding small diameters branches, or green material in general, while they really give their best with larger branches.
This is due to their less "centrifugal" power compared to standard disc and blade models, and to the "greater distance between blade and counter-blade", designed for single branches that are already well cleaned but with a large diameter.

The machine of large-sized is able to process even very bulky branches and leaves, without having to pre-shred them. Thus, it also features a higher capacity that allows entering a large amount of material at a time.

• UNIFIED HOPPER:

It considerably simplifies and speeds up the operations.
It eliminates the constant operation of dividing (before grinding) the material between the large, woody sections and the smaller, green sections, each of which must be placed in its own hopper (an operation required by all classic bio-shredders with 2 hoppers)

• SELF-FEEDING:

Once introduced the branches into the hopper, the shredder pulls them inside the shredding unit autonomously thanks to the hopper vertical design. Thanks to the gravitational force, the mechanism can pull inside the branches to be shredded. WARNING: the branches must not be too bulky because this may limit the functionality of the machine.
