GreenBay GB-WRC 120 H - Petrol garden Shredder - Honda GX390 engine

The GreenBay GB-WRC 120 H petrol garden shredder is powered by a Honda GX390 engine, which allows reaching a rated power of 13 HP.

This chipper model allows cutting weeds and twigs with a maximum diameter of 90 mm, reducing them into small-sized pieces that are easy to handle and ideal for composting.

This garden shredder is equipped with a double safety system, one at the base of the hopper and the other placed immediately above. The first does not allow the rotation of the rotor unless the hopper is perfectly closed; by contrast, the second safety system is equipped with a button that, when pressed, immediately blocks the machine in case of emergency. It is built following the logic of large shredders, resulting in the highest performance in terms of cutting, speed and reliability. Thus, it complies with the CE regulations on safety at work.

Thanks to the wheels, it is extremely easy to move and transport the machine, and they allow reducing the effort for the user while manually moving the shredder.

Warning: Like all wood chippers and chipper, it is not suited for the shredding of grass, leaves, pine needles, etc.… (It is made to shred branches, but it can grind the leaves, needles and certain other vegetation may be attached to them)

Shredders intended use:
- The shredder must grind only green branches and not dried ones (which would limit its shredding capacity and lead to rapid deterioration of the blades);
- The branches must be preferably long, smooth and not knobby (otherwise the cutting diameter would be reduced);
- The branch cutting diameter indicated is the maximum, so it is advised not to shred larger branches. In this case it would be better to purchase a shredder with a larger branch cutting diameter;
- The cutting diameter can vary according to the amounts of wood (e.g: oak, olive, plum and peach are hardwoods and can reduce the cutting capacity of the wood chipper)

The Garden Shredder is powered by a powerful Honda GX390 4-stroke air-cooled engine 389 cc, with overhead valves and aluminium cylinder.

This shredder, like all petrol shredders with roller rotor, must be strictly used to the maximum RPM of the engine; the grinding rotor has a very substantial mass and to give an effective result must reach the maximum rpm, thereby taking advantage of its own centrifugal force generated.

CAUTION: using it at less than full speed can lead to several problems and the shredder won’t be able to grind large branches and perform a high-quality grinding.
- Lowering of engine speed or switching off the engine during use;
- rapid deterioration of drive belts between engine and rotor;
- damage to the centrifugal clutch which, if the engine is not at maximum speed, does not fully expand, leading the engine to wear out and irreparably damaging it;

This is the only machine of its category with intermediate double belt drive transmission

. This feature gives high sturdiness to the unit, protecting both the engine and all the shredding system from every possible internal hit or kickback.

Higher durability over time compared to the standard system of all the manufacturers of petrol-powered machineries, the transmission is directly connected to the shredding cutting system.

The hopper is fully examinable thanks to the possibility of opening.

The single hopper considerably simplifies and speeds up the work. It eliminates the operation of separating (before grinding) the material between the major and woody sections and smaller and green sections, each of which is inserted in its special hopper (operation instead requested from all the classic wood chipper equipped with 2 hoppers)

SAFETY DEVICE : It is possible to use the device placed around the hopper. In an emergency it is possible to press the red button to immediately block the function of the wood chipper.

SECOND SAFETY SYSTEM: At the base of the hopper it is also present another switch that shuts down the engine in the case the hopper opens

2 cutting blades, of large dimensions and thickness are mounted on a large spinning steel plate

The double blade system is completed by the working counter-blade located on the shredding chamber.

The rotor is solid and robust, and made in steel.

Focus on the the counter- blade adjustment: this is deliberately assembled in a manner inclined with respect to the frame and to the direction of rotation of the rotor to increase the cutting capacity of the machine and have the best performance possible.

All wood chipper with roller system like this, carry out their work better by inserting branches already leafless and cleaned (not thick and with excessive branching);
And they are ideal for branches having a bit consistency and body, and not for thin and green branches, they are better thick or in high quantities; this is because the roller system is technically very suitable to grind small or minimum diameters, or green material in general, while really give the maximum with branches which have a bigger diameter and density.
This is related to their lower "centrifuging" power compared to the classical models and disc blades, and the "greater distance between the blade and counter-blade", designed for individual branches already well thinned but consistent diameter.

The discharge chute, of which the garden shredder is provided, rotates at 360° and it is approximately 2 meters tall.

You’ll just need to simply loosen the hooks and press the lever then rotate it in the desired position.

The discharge inclination is adjustable by means of two hooks placed to end of the chute
