GeoTech-Pro WS72RS - Tractor Shredder - With Hydraulic Control Feed Rollers

The GeoTech Pro WS72RS Shredder is a PTO-driven chipper ideal for reducing branches, leaves, and prunings into fragments. This model is particularly suitable for shredding large amounts of plant material, such as waste from cleaning, pruning, and maintenance of gardens and orchards.

The shredder is equipped with a large loading mouth to facilitate the introduction of branches and branched plant material, with the ability to shred wood with a maximum diameter of 176 mm and boards/semifinished products up to 310 mm.

It also features a 3-point hitch (category 1° and 2°) for tractor connection and a power take-off for operation.

The machine is equipped with two toothed rollers that allow automatic branch feeding, all managed by a hydraulic pump, greatly simplifying and speeding up loading operations.

The discharge mouth for the shredded fragments is rotatable at 290° and positioned over two meters high, allowing easy discharge of material directly into many types of containers.

The hopper measures 178x310 mm.

The rotor is equipped with 4 double interchangeable tempered blades and a counter-blade.

Warning: Like all shredders and chippers, it is not suitable for grinding grass, leaves, pine needles, etc. (it is made to shred branches but can grind leaves, needles, and other vegetation that may be attached to them)

Main usage prescriptions for all shredders on the market:
- The shredder must grind branches recently cut from the tree, and not dry (they would limit its shredding capacity and cause rapid blade deterioration);
- Branches should preferably be long, regular, and not knotty (otherwise the cutting diameter is reduced);
- The declared cutting diameter is the maximum, so in use, it represents the exception and not the rule. In such a case, consider purchasing a shredder with a larger cutting diameter;
- The cutting diameter can vary based on wood consistencies (for example, oak, olive, plum, peach are very hard woods and can reduce the shredding capacity of shredders)

Unlike most tractor shredders, this machine is equipped with a completely autonomous hydraulic system consisting of the following elements:

• Hydraulic pump (applied at the rear of the grinding rotor, on the through-shaft-power take-off, which thus drives both the grinding rotor and the pump itself)
• Roller opening regulator
• 20-litre hydraulic oil tank (which powers this entire hydraulic system)
• Electric valve + various oil transmission pipes
• Two hydraulic motors that are driven by the aforementioned pump (they transform the oil flow sent by the pump into a rotary motion that drives the two self-feeding rollers)
  
  

Therefore, this shredder requires simple application to the tractor's 3-point hitch and the assembly of the PTO shaft, which will drive both the rotor and the self-feeding hydraulic system, thus activating both.

This shredder has no hydraulic hose to apply to the tractor. It can therefore be safely applied to older tractors not equipped with a hydraulic pump.

The cutting apparatus consists of:
Nr. 4 cutting blades, mounted on a rotating steel disc at the end of the hopper.

The rotor has the following characteristics:

• Diameter: 74 cm
• Weight 95 Kg

Equipped with a large and robust grinding chamber. It has a rounded shape that ensures good productivity, as well as the longevity of the system. Detail of the flip-up opening system.

The counter-blade is mounted directly on the outer side of the shredding chamber.

Warning: Before starting the machine, make sure to adjust the counter-blade using the appropriate adjustment bolts, to avoid damage to the rotor.

The steel hopper is large, with a size of 178x310 mm

The machine is equipped with two toothed rollers mounted on an effective spring system, for the automatic feeding of branches.

Everything is managed by a hydraulic pump controlled by a simple numbered regulator for speed adjustment: therefore, depending on the thickness of the pieces to be shredded, it will be enough to adjust the rotation speed to optimize the cut. Everything is protected by a metal casing.

This system allows for a significant simplification, as well as speeding up, of loading operations.

The chipper is equipped with an anti-jamming system: in case the rotor is under stress or blocks during the shredding of the working material, the lever on the loading hopper must be operated. This lever acts on the hydraulic valves that control the motor and reverses the direction of rotation of the rotor itself, unlocking it.

The control bar regulates the movement of the feed rollers in the following modes:

1) Forward Mode
2) Stop Mode
3) Reverse Mode

The machine is capable of receiving even very bulky branches and fronds, without prior processing.

It also has a higher capacity that allows you to insert a lot of material at once.

The functionalities of this shredder are:

- Activation of self-feeding rollers for shredding
- Immediate stop system (safety)
- Reverse function for jam elimination

WARNING!

There are two emergency buttons, one above the hopper mouth and the second on the left side of the hopper!

Warning: The roller control hydraulic system arrives empty. Fill the tank before starting the machine. Make sure there are 2-3 cm of air from the top of the tank. Do not fill completely.

The discharge chute, which this shredder is equipped with, is rotatable at 290° and about 2.2 meters high.

The supplied PTO shaft is equipped with a safety bolt.

The shear bolt torque limiter allows, in case of unforeseen or excessive stresses and torques, to avoid damage to the mechanical parts of the operating machine in use.
In fact, when the torque exceeds the power bearable by the bolt, it shears and the transmitted power is zeroed.
To restore the transmission, it must be replaced with one of the same resistance, diameter, thread, and length.

The shredder is equipped with an additional support under the hopper to stabilize the machine.

It is possible to quickly open the hopper by rotating it on two hinges to quickly access the rotor in case of jamming.
