The Gardena 2800S splitting axe is designed for splitting large logs with ease.
Thanks to its robust design and optimal blade geometry, it penetrates wood effectively. The blade has a non-stick coating that facilitates penetration, reducing friction and improving productivity. The shape of the blade and its cutting angle are designed to maximise the force on each stroke, making this axe particularly suitable for large logs.
The handle is made of fibre-reinforced polyamide (PA), a lightweight yet durable material that provides high impact force without compromising handling. The handle has soft inserts that ensure a comfortable and secure grip. The end of the handle is slightly curved and non-slip, reducing the risk of accidental slipping during use. In addition, the integrated stainless steel plate further protects the handle from damage.
Another highlight of this axe is the integrated hammer function, designed to use plastic, wood or aluminium wedges. It is important to avoid using steel wedges so as not to damage the cutting head.
The total length of the axe is 70 cm, with a total weight of 2.8 kg, providing an optimal balance between control and power. The blade head weighs 2.3 kg, contributing to maximum effectiveness during splitting work.
