The Gardena 1600S splitting axe is designed for high performance in splitting firewood.
Thanks to the handle made of reinforced polyamide fibre (PA), this axe is lightweight yet robust, ideal for prolonged work. The ergonomic design includes soft inserts on the handle, ensuring a comfortable and secure grip. In addition, the end of the handle is curved and non-slip, improving stability and control during use.
Another highlight is the integrated handle protection, thanks to a stainless steel plate that extends the tool's service life.
The axe head has an optimal geometry to facilitate penetration into the wood, reducing the effort required to cut. The blade angle is designed to maximise the effectiveness of the blow, better distributing the weight and energy. The blade is coated with a special material that allows better glide and penetration into the wood.
The Gardena 1600S axe is compatible with plastic, wood or aluminium splitting wedges to further facilitate the splitting process. It is not suitable for use with steel wedges.
With a total weight of 1.6 kg and a length of 60 cm, the Gardena Splitting Axe 1600S is easy to handle and practical to transport.
