Thanks to the 2-pedal hydrostatic gearbox, riding the CastelGarden riding-on mower will be easy and intuitive. All machine controls can be operated simply by the right foot on the pedal.

Operating the machine is very simple: to proceed forward just push the pedal with the toe. The riding-on mower will advance according to the pressure exerted. Simply push the opposite end of the pedal with the heel to engage the reverse speed.

Sturdy gears make the gearbox difficult to break. The hydrostatic transmission is by far the most modern and functional (although more expensive) compared to the traditional manual transmission gears. The latter type, whenever it is necessary to adjust the speed, forces the operator to stop, change gear (because in all the riding-on mowers with a manual or mechanical gearbox the gear change takes place when the machine is stationary), leaving the clutch and then restart at the desired speed. In case of frequent speed variations (e.g. In gardens with trees, vases or other types of obstacles) the traditional gear transmission wouldn’t be practical at all. The hydrostatic transmission, on the other hand, allows immediate speed changes, without ever stopping and in a totally automatic manner, simply by varying the pressure on the drive pedal of this transmission.

1- REAR DISCHARGE : the riding-on mower cuts the grass and leaves it on the lawn. This system is recommended for: large areas, those who do not need to collect grass and those who do not mow frequently. It is a system that can handle larger quantities of grass: it is particularly suitable for cutting taller, thicker and/or coarser grass.

2- MULCHING CUTTING SYSTEM: This grass mowing system allows crushing grass clippings and dropping them on the ground. The resulting grass particles are extremely fine that they will be barely noticeable on the lawn. This eliminates the problem of its disposal (reducing any effort and shortening the time-saving). Moreover, grass clippings will break down into nutrients and water for the lawn (grass is 80% water) and will thus ensure a perfectly balanced biological cycle. However, it is worth remembering that, to ensure the greatest mulching results, the lawn should be irrigated and the grass needs cutting at least once a week.
The conversion from one system to another is very easy, simply remove the rear deflector to operate with the rear discharge system. Simply unscrew the rear deflector to remove it.

Exclusive 50/50 articulated steering system.

The 50:50 articulated steering ensures that the rear wheels follow exactly the path of the front wheels.

The result is precise manoeuvring without the turning radius and uncut areas being left behind while rotating around its own axis. Basically, this is the only riding-on mower that can go around obstacles such as, trees, pots, and more, leaving almost no uncut grass strips.
The articulated steering generally offers superior manoeuvrability, and makes the riding-on mower capable of passing almost anywhere thanks to its ability to make very sharp turns.

This riding-on mower mounts a 2-blade cutting deck.

It mounts two synchronised blades with multi-tool replaceable blade tips (suitable for both mulching cutting and rear discharge systems).

The cutting deck height adjustment is electrical and is performed via a button to the right of the seat that allows to select among 7 available cutting positions.

The 95 cm large cutting deck can be combined with other cutting decks with dimensions ranging from 95 cm to 100 cm.
