Alice STAR 58 PLUS is the olive harvester that Campagnola has created for all types of cultivars and cultivation, with no difference between olive trees prepared for mechanisation, i.e. well pruned, or dense, in flat or hilly crops. Designed to adapt to any working situation, it guarantees maximum results while fully respecting the integrity of the plant and fruit.

The big news from Campagnola is the new 58V motor, which is compatible not only with the other olive harvester heads (Hercules and Holly) but also with all the other products in the same line.

The motor at the bottom of the pole gives this olive harvester exceptional balance, which translates into less fatigue during use.

Thanks to a 12-58V transformer inside the machine, it is possible to use a simple battery-powered device (12V car type) to take full advantage of the 58V power output.

Today, however, 99% of olive harvesters on the market still have the motor mounted on the head, adjacent to the rakes, which is a simpler and more economical solution (because it is mechanically simpler), but which makes the olive harvester extremely unbalanced in terms of weight and very tiring to use

Because we must not forget that most of the time the olive harvester is held at the bottom of the pole, and if the weight is concentrated at the top, it becomes really heavy to handle and certainly impossible to use for a whole day.

Therefore, when choosing a fruit picker, it is wrong to consider only the total weight because it is misleading in assessing comfort of use, especially for those fruit pickers that have the motor at the top and therefore have 80% of their weight concentrated there. Comfort of use does not come from the total weight but from the balance of weights. And therefore from the motor being mounted at the bottom of the pole.

2 speeds:

• position I: the combs rotate at 1080 rpm
• position II: the combs rotate at over 1150 rpm
• position III: the combs rotate over 1180 times per minute

The rakes are made of extra-flexible thermoplastic resin and perform a characteristic and exclusive DOUBLE MOVEMENT.

While the rakes oscillate from right to left, the individual prongs simultaneously move in the opposite rotary motion, creating an 8 x 7 cm ellipse that allows for a wider collection radius. This particular oscillation and rotation movement also minimises the vibrations transmitted to the entire tool and, consequently, to the operator.

The advantages are exceptional:

• greater harvesting capacity of each tine, i.e. greater detachment of the olives
• more than 50% greater harvesting capacity
• almost no breakage of branches (whereas the competitors' horizontal right-left movement is very violent and causes the detachment of many branches)
• drastically reduced vibrations (thanks to the two counter-rotating movements that counterbalance each other, lowering the vibration level)
• greater range of action of the two rakes. In fact, as they rotate, they alternately move closer and further apart at high speed, reaching a considerable distance from each other in the outward phase, thanks also to the exceptional length of the teeth themselves. This reduces the frequency of movement of the rakes and their repositioning within the canopy

In short, the Campagnola Alice is by far the battery-powered olive harvester with the highest hourly harvesting capacity. Unlike all other olive harvesters on the market, there is no specific technique for using the Alice. It can be used as a comb on well-pruned and sparsely foliaged trees.

Instead, it can be inserted and extracted repeatedly from the canopy of trees that have not been pruned and are very dense (which do not allow the machines to comb through)

It is designed with very long teeth alternating with shorter teeth.

The advantage is an exceptional ability to penetrate the foliage, thanks to the sparser front part, and very deeply thanks to the exceptional length of the teeth, which are much longer than all the comb-type olive harvesters currently on the market.

PLEASE NOTE: the long pole is always the ideal configuration for this olive harvester, precisely because the motor is mounted at the bottom of the pole. Excellent for lower olive trees, we recommend holding the pole in the centre to maintain a 50% - 50% weight balance (as in the diagram above), making it even easier to handle
