BlackStone CSB150 BS- Petrol garden shredder - Briggs & Stratton 13.5 hp gasoline engine

The Blackstone CSB150 BS garden shredder is intended for crushing dung and twigs to an easy-to-handle overall size suitable for composting. Shredding operations also allow reducing the material decomposing time.

This wood chipper is equipped with tow hitch, which makes the machine easy to move.

It is equipped with a powerful 13.5 Hp engine which can rotate up to 3600 rpm.

The Blackstone CSB150 BS petrol wood chipper is provided with dual hopper.

The main hopper is mostly intended for large twigs as well as green material or small-sized branches up to 10 mm diameter. It is large and allows processing high volumes and quantities of material simultaneously.

The second hopper of the Blackstone CSB150 BS wood chipper can be only used for shredding branches up to 102 mm maximum diameter.

The Blackstone CSB150 BS garden shredder is powered by a Briggs & Stratton 420 cc petrol engine featuring 13.5 Hp.

The cutting system consists of:

- 2 blades

- 10 hammers

- 10 knives

The main body is entirely made of steel except for the toolbox.

It is not recommended to shred grass and leaves exclusively without processing the material with twigs and small branches as the shredder is not provided with self-feeding system.

Warning: Like all wood chippers and garden shredders, it is not suited for shredding grass, leaves, pine needles, etc. (it is intended to shred branches, but it can also grind leaves, needles and others)

Garden shredders intended use:
- The wood chipper must grind only green branches and not dried ones (which would limit its shredding capacity and lead to quick deterioration of the blades);
- The branches must be preferably long, smooth and not knobby (otherwise the cutting diameter would be reduced);
- The branch cutting diameter indicated is the maximum, so it is advised not to shred larger branches. In this case it would be better to purchase a shredder with a larger branch cutting diameter;
- The cutting diameter can vary according to the amounts of wood (e.g: oak, olive, plum and peach are hardwood and can reduce the cutting capacity of the wood chipper);

The machine is provided with centrifugal clutch. It is important to let the engine running at high speed in order to ensure a proper functioning.

It is the only machine of its category with intermediate belt drive transmission.

This feature gives high sturdiness to the unit, protecting both the engine and all the shredding system from every possible internal hit or kickback.

Higher durability over time compared to the standard system of all the manufacturers of petrol-powered machineries, as the transmission is directly connected to the shredding cutting system.

The shredder is equipped with a dual-hopper system.

The first hopper, the larger one, is designed for even bulky foliage and branches with a small diameter (max. 10 mm) and greenery.

The hopper specifically intended for branches features a larger diameter and allows shredding of branches up to a max. 10.2 cm diameter.

The hopper intended for shredding branches has been specifically designed to enhance the Operator’s safety thanks to its improved length as it keeps the user far from the cutting blades of the shredder.

Large and highly-thick 2 shredding blades mounted on a large spinning steel plate. They pre-shred the wood into the hopper reducing it in coarse wood chips.

No. 10 triangle-shaped hammers, high-speed rotating hammers made of hardened steel. They perform a centrifugal operation, reducing the material into smaller wood chips.

No. 10 rectangular-shaped knives made of steel and rotating at high speed. Thanks to their centrifugal motion they shred the branches already shredded by the 2 blades in small wood chips.

Equipped with sieve that holds the wood chips until finely shredded.

The safety sieve prevents the access to the machine and it can be easily removed for cleaning and maintenance operations.

This shredder model is almost the only machinery with the discharge opening provided with sieve, which allows that the shredded material will be exclusively discharged once perfectly shredded by the hammers.
