This plate and sheet filter for oil is a state-of-the-art machine which differs from the standard model both in its specificity in filtering extra virgin olive oil and in being made with a 100% stainless steel frame.

The specific characteristics of this oil filter make it suitable for professional applications.

The COLOMBO® FILTER consists of a special electric pump and a filtering system called liquid system with pressed layers.

This particular type of filters allows to obtain excellent levels of drinks purification without altering the fundamental characteristics of the filtered liquid. For this reason, it is mainly used for domestic filtering operations, but also for professional applications, such as in wine cellars, pharmaceutical factories, laboratories, breweries, and wherever it is necessary to filter a drink in order to serve or bottle it perfectly clear, without any trace of residue.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THE CUSTOMER: the COLOMBO® FILTER has been designed to filter mainly beverages, therefore all the materials used are perfectly compatible with food liquids.

It does not require any special maintenance other than normal cleaning.

Pump body made in corrosion-resistant alloy with NOVAX technology: this is a state-of-the-art pump made of alloy and treated trough a chemical process that makes it antioxidant; this technology called Novax is an exclusive patent of the manufacturer, Rover Pompe.

The pump is self-priming, designed specifically for the operation of this filter.

The Colombo 18-OIL INOX oil filtering pump mounts an electric induction motor which guarantees a long service life.

This motor is capable of delivering a power of 0.9 Hp

Filtering system with 19 filter plates

No. 19 filter plates. It can house up to 18 20x20 cm filter sheets

Hourly filtering capacity: max 300 L/h

Larger pump body and impeller, chosen because of the particular viscosity of the oil, thus allowing a higher hourly output than the STANDARD model Colombo 18 inox.

Higher power of the electric motor fitted (0.9 Hp against 0.5 Hp of the standard model), given the greater resistance of the oil when pumping compared to more fluid liquids such as wine.

When detached from the filter, the filtering pump can also be used as a common transfer pump.

The pump can also operate with fewer than the 18 filter sheets for which it is designed. For example, 10, 8 or 6 can be mounted: simply slide the chosen plates off. The filtering quality remains the same, only the amount filtered per hour will decrease.

For example, if only 10 plates (i.e. 9 filter sheets) are used, the hourly production of filtered litres will be equal to half. But in some cases this can allow to save money in the use of filter sheets.
