RS90 Eurosystem Rotary Scythe Mower

The RS90 is a self-propelled petrol rotary scythe mower featuring pneumatic sculpted tractor wheels driven by an oil-bath worm screw transmission. Its 57 cm rotary scythe (included in the listing price) is made of a rotating disc equipped with 4 retracting blades rotating on their axis (the blades retract inside the body in case of shock).

The machine is equipped with an excellent Loncin 139 engine. This is undoubtedly the most advanced and effective cutting system on the market nowadays as it emulates the heavy-duty tractor-mounted rotary scythe mowers.

Suitable for all kinds of surfaces and any kind of grass (tall, short, thick, slender, straight, bent or crushed by weather conditions).

The LONCIN engine is lightweight, high-performing and suitable for works which require a quite high power.

Powered by a 4-stroke petrol engine 139 cc, belonging to the latest technology with overhead valve “OHV”, single cylinder and a forced air cooling system.

Fuel tank capacity: 0.9 L

Oil tank capacity: 0.55 L

Focus on the recoil start The electronic ignition transistor is used in order to get a reliable ignition, and engine oil flutter lubrication ensures a constant oil supplement for internal components, protecting the engine and extending its life.

The correct term would be "Commercial” Power, meaning the classic definition standard of power officially used until a few years ago by all leading engine manufacturers.

It corresponds to the real power expressed by the motor shaft. This is the power indicated as official in the manual or in the technical data of the motor manufacturer.

Cutting height: 36 mm

Cutting system: n°4 swing knives that form a 90° angle, with double edges. The knives slide back inside in case of shocks or collisions with stones.

Controls and Steering Handles

Upper metal red lever: Cutter bar engagement/disengagement.

The lower (right) black lever engages the forward gear

Throttle lever.

Screw for handlebar height adjustment.

Intermediate Transmission and Tractor Wheels

Oil-bah worm screw intermediate transmission.

Large-sized tractor wheels: 13x5.00 - 6.

Their remarkable sculpting allows the mowers to move even on difficult terrain, always maintaining a perfect grip on the ground.

Final Belt Drive

Final belt drive between rotary sickle and central machine transmission (protected by the black front casing in the photo).
This drive system increases the machine durability. The belt works almost like a clutch: it tends to slip in case the blades collide with something. Thus, the machine components that are normally subject to wear will last longer.

However, we recommend you to avoid hitting obstacles with the scythe mower and using it on stonysurfaces.

Another great advantage of the belt-driven transmission consists of the blade engagement/disengagement lever (upper red lever). The Operator can activate the petrol scythe mower blade only if and when necessary; where there is work to be done. Self-propulsion can be used to move the machine around even when the blade is disengaged. It allows, for instance, to move the equipment using the self-propulsion on the wheels while the blade is stopped.

The insides are made of exceptionally thick plastic, which makes these tanks especially sturdy and anti-drilling.

Furthermore, the plastic is red so as not to allow the penetration of light, ensuring the optimal fuel conservation.

Focus on the carrying handle and housing for the flexible pouring spout

WARNING: petrol and mixture tend to lose their characteristics and to deteriorate quickly when in contact with light. For this reason, traditional transparent tanks are strongly discouraged for these fuels (as well as for poor security reasons)
