ADJUSTED OPERATING CUTTING HEIGTH (7-8 cm high)
The height of the ATV rear hitch may vary, so make sure that the ATV is positioned so that it is sufficiently raised off the ground to prevent the cutting hammers from touching the ground.
The exact working height of the hammers from the ground is at least 7-8 cm.
WARNING: if the hammers frequently hit the ground, this can lead to excessive wear of the side drive belts or even to their overheating or combustion with damage to the belts and the machine.
We recommend to pay attention so as to not overload the machine as the noise of overloading may sometimes not be heard by the Operator while riding the ATV due to the noise emitted by the latter.
FORWARD SPEED:
a mistake often made by those using this cutting tool is precisely selecting the working speed, because the ATV can actually cause the Operator to select a high speed.
The ATV petrol rough cut mower should be used at the same operating speed as the tractor-mounted or the smaller petrol models manually operated.
Operating speed: from 1 km/h up to max. 4 km/h
In case of particularly high grass, it is advisable not to exceed a speed of 1 / 1.5 km/h.
In case of short, frequently cut grass, it is advisable to choose an operating speed closer to 4 km/h.
WARNING: this rough cut mower is equipped with a side centrifugal clutch which keeps the hammer rotor stationary (in neutral position) when the engine is started at low speed (rest condition), and a drive transmission equipped with 2 belts. Using this rough cut mower at a higher speed than the one indicated above could lead to overloading and overheating the clutch and also to excessive wear of the side drive belts. In the worst cases, if the clutch burns, there is the risk to even burn the near belts or other parts of the machine.
