The Blue Bird SG0812A model is shorter and more compact compared to most petrol flail mowers. Very easy to steer and drive on slopes thanks to the revolutionary design

It is powered by a Loncin 8,5 HP engine able at moving the machine and providing the necessary power for an excellent work.

It is a self-propelled model with several customizations: on the handle and the working height so at to satisfy the most demanding operators.

It can also grind undergrowth and brambles (up to 2,5 cm) in any situation and in challenging areas as well as on gentle slopes.

It's very popular with operators who require cutting weeds in orchards, vineyards, olive tree groves (especially for the grassing process), or for plant nurseries, green area maintenance operators and managing authorities who require this type of tool to clear uncultivated areas.

The hourly working capacity is 10 times higher than that of a regular strimmer brush cutter while the results are more consistent and tidier and the resulting grass clippings are smaller.

Gear shifting system and transmission

The end transmission to the flail mower rotor is possible thanks to a drive belt. The drive belt is protected by a sturdy case.

Cutting deck

Very thick steel plate cutting deck.

Sturdy rotor made of hardened steel with 32 Y-shaped flails. The flails make this machine extremely effective in any situation (when working on underbrush, brambles, pruned twigs, up to 2,5 cm in diameter)

Focus on the sturdy front strips that are attached on the 60 cm swinging frame.

The cutting deck also features a further protection device for the operator on the upper area. This grid makes the flail mower extremely safe for the user.

Controls and settings

The left side lever is the clutch lever; it engages or disengages motion regardless of the speed you're working at (this goes both for reverse and forward speeds). As a safety precaution, the machine stops immediately when releasing this lever.

The right side lever engages or disengages the flail rotor (that's to say the grass mowing action) and it is connected to the safety disc braking system. When releasing the lever, the cutting unit stops rotating immediately.

Other specifications
